Could you be jumping the gun any earlier? Sheesh.

conscience 09-27-02 11:49 AM

Back of Joe.

Thanks GuessWho!

BTW Joe,

sunday is in two days.

GuessWho 09-27-02 04:46 PM

Very interesting that the episode is named after Chris (first time ever an episode title singles anyone out) and yet the preview at the end of last week barely showed him... must be a surprise :)

Geofferson 09-27-02 05:42 PM

Looks like another fine hour of television!

Johnny wilson 09-27-02 11:00 PM

The title is refering to Christopher Columbus, not Moltisanti.

If you haven't seen the episode, then you have no idea what the whole episode is about. It could be refering to Columbus or Moltisanti. You never know.

That is unless you have already saw the episode.

There could be something suprising. And then again, there might not be anything suprising.

I hope there is, BTW.

I have.

It's Columbus.

Not as much Moltisanti in this ep as in the first two eps of this season, tho Imperioli did write 'Christopher'.....

I'm sure it was meant as a double entendre.

Great. Now if you would have let us know that in your initial post....

Blaster1 09-28-02 07:16 PM

This is the worst out of the first 4 episodes I've seen of this season. The only big things that happen are
Spoiler:
Bobby's wife dies in a car accident and Janice breaks up with Ralph. The majority of the episode deals with the Columbus day fight between Tony's gang and the Indians.

bdshort 09-28-02 07:44 PM

How are some of you seeing these episodes early?

Have you ever heard of Kazaa or Newsgroups?

That IS my initial post. I was confirming what someone ELSE had posted.

And concur with Blaster, this is the slowest of the first four eps (tho there is one VERY funny moment with Ralphie and Janice). Ep. 3. does set up some stuff for Ep.4, which is a very good ep......

huzefa 09-29-02 10:00 AM

How do I decide between this and Alias?! Thank god for Tivo.

huzefa 09-29-02 10:02 AM

Something else: Michael Imperioli, who plays Christopher, also wrote this episode.

Blaster1 09-29-02 11:02 AM

Jobronie, are you talking about the scene
Spoiler:
where Janice is using a dildo on Ralph? That is a funny scene and its funny at the end when Ralph is saying to those guys that Janice wanted to do all that sick stuff to him
I do agree about episode 4 being good though. It is my favorite from Season 4 from the episodes I've seen.

Spoiler:
Yeah, but dildo is putting it mildly. It was a freakin' strap-on! Can't recall if it was obvious at the time, or if Ralphie mentions it to the guys in Ep. 4. And Janice berating him the whole time is hysterical....

And the scene in Miami in Ep. 4 is great, since it's often very difficult to do something so suspenseful on television in broad daylight. Kinda like the scene from the first season (College, I think) when Tony takes out the rat at the trailer....

Rogue588 09-29-02 09:08 PM

Wow.

I felt like I was watching an episode of "Seinfeld". An ep about nothing. And I mean that in a good way.

Poor Bobby. :(

I liked this episode, it had me laughing. Just hope Janice doesn't pursue Bobby.

And WTF was with that Ralphie/Janice bedroom scene with the vibrator?

conscience 09-29-02 09:32 PM

Wow. I loved everything in this episode, except for anything dealing with Columbus day.

Don't get me wrong (I LOVE THE SOPRANOS), but please don't use politics as a motivation for entertainment. I want to be entertained not taught for an hour.

Edie Falco is great as always and thank God Tony wasn't in most of the Columbus day rants (except for the end...where he goes into a Gary Cooper soliloquy.)

The weakest episode this season.

I watched the entire time, but I saw maybe thirty seconds of courtroom. WTF? I thought this began the big "Junior/Soprano" case. Maybe I blanked for a couple of minutes trying to shield from the political stand point.

Rogue588 09-29-02 09:45 PM

I didn't think of it overtly defending Columbus [though I know that's the subject they were talking about]. I took the ep as a snide sarcastic response to all these Italian "Anti-defamation" outcries against the show. The Columbus thing just worked in their favour.

I am not taking sides with either the Italians or the Indians. Hopefully we will get back to the kick ass drama known as THE SOPRANOS next week, not History 101.
