I'm not certain how long the average Vulcan is supposed to live, it seems to vary, and since B&B aren't keeping any kind of continuity, it's quite possible it was T'Pol who was on Earth in 1957. Then again according to that story last season where she went into a jazz club in San Francisco, she made it seem that was her first experience with Earth music. If she was on Earth for 3 months in 1957 she surely had heard some Jazz. '57 being the year that Jazz was starting to crossover to the mainstream and get decent air-time.
In my favorite Diane Duane book, "Spock's World" she has some of the Vulcan monks living up to 600yrs. I wish they would hire her to write an episode. Or Peter David, or even Kevin Smith. Someone who knows how to write!
What I want to know is why nobody ever seems to notice or comment on how huge and out of proportion her breasts are to the rest of her body. Not to mention the fake-ness looking of them. You'ld think she'ld be hit on a million times, especially on 1957 Earth.

I still think the show as a whole last season wasn't awful, again limited to network TV standards. This season's opener was just a little blah, but okay, but this last one was like the writers of The Golden Girls did an episode of Star Trek. Next week looks like it could be enjoyable. They could be letting the ball drop big time this season, thus ending Star Trek. Good. The worst part is Scott Bakula will be tied in with it, and he doesn't have the get-out-of-crap-free card that George Clooney had after Batman 4.
As for the ending, it was the ancestor, not T'Pol. The great granny passed down the purse she kept, thus the ending. The only thing not predictable about it was they didn't have the kid walk away and say something like, "Now that I'm going to college, the world will know the name Mr. Wizard" or something.

Yeah - I was expecting the kid to say that he was some famous scientist or great-grandfather of Zephram Cochrane or something like that.

But, since these guys have no idea of what Star Trek is about, they prolly wouldn’t even know who Cochrane is.

From what I have just read, it doesnt sound they have many ideas of their own. Its really sad. They need Logan to help them because they have to do a Romulan Story. They shouldnt be doing this in the first place....
Enterprise (TV): Brannon Braga recently talked with Cinescape and revealed two things we can expect to see in the upcoming season. First up, "Gladiator" writer John Logan may show up to help write and develop the pre-Kirk era Romulans for the series - an interesting challenge as Logan helped to slightly reinvent the race for the upcoming "Nemesis" feature. A difficult idea too - its long been established in Trek lore that even though they engaged in a long war a few years after "Enterprise" is set, humans never officially saw Romulans face-to-face until the Kirk era. There's already plans for the third episode this season to do an "Acquisition"-esque trick like they did with the Ferengi (see the first photo of this era's Romulan Warbird at TrekWeb). Meanwhile Rick Berman spoke with Star Trek Monthly who indicated that they have a good idea of who the 'future guy' villain is whom we've only seen in silhouette so far: "Yes, we have a relatively good idea who's messing with things and I ain't gonna tell ya who it is. I will say that we have it in our heads, but there are variations on it that would give us different spins as it plays itself out. So, it's not totally locked down, but we have a pretty good idea of who's doing what and the different ways it could go". No word on when we will find out for ourselves. Thanks to 'Gustavo'.

I said last year that B&B&Co. will go down in history as the ones who killed Trek. The question is, will ratings go south, and if so will it be enough for it to die? Or will they keep it on because it is Trek? Allegedly.
What ever happend to this X-files writer that was coming in to help this year. I was hoping for a new and good writer would help the franchise but I think everyone is under the control of B&B to the extent that they cant change anything with out their input.

The time travel and continuity things dont bother me as much as TNG's FREAKING HOLODECK MISHAPS!!
That will ALWAYS rank top in my book of ST universe blunders.
BTW, NASA did'nt invent VELCRO
"After a walk in the woods, Swiss inventor George de Mestral noted the difficulty of removing burrs from his wool pants. This prompted him to examine them under a microscope, where he discovered that each burr was made up of tiny hooks that attached themselves to the loops of thread in the fabric.
From there, de Mestral inferred that a manmade version of these "hooks and loops" would provide a simple, foolproof fastener. He eventually devised a way to manufacture the product, patented the process, and called the concoction Velcro, from the words velvet and crochet (the French term for "hook")." Just think, at the current time (2002), there might be some half-human/half-vulcans walking around in our midst, and we wouldn't necessarily know it... Now can you imagine them tying Zephram Cochran's ancestry back to a vulcan (so that it was indeed the vulcans who give humans the gift of inter-planetary space travel)? Well, it plants the seeds for it.
I think I've gotten over the gratuitous and "unnecessary" shots of sexuality/nudity in the "Enterprise" universe. If the crew members are okay with it, so am I.
Am I the only one that thinks both Trip and Archer would shag T'Pol if she gave them the okay?

So, how did they learn English so fast? Does everyone in the the '30s have a translator that they didn't know about? This seems to be the most inconsistent plot device.
I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering where this series is going....

Did anyone else think the Vulcan with the ski cap on looked an awful lot like Ricky from American Beauty?
I kept expecting him to start videotaping a plastic bag and talk about how much beauty there is in the world.

Jason, my response exactly. "We have a relatively good idea..." WTF?
Uh, hello, tv viewers to Trek producers: We've discovered that we like a show that knows what the hell it's doing before it does it!
Sigh. I would have hoped Trek had learned something from B5, but of course not.
