Top 5 Things To Look Forward To This Fall

Wizdar's thread concerning "the top 5 things not to look forward to this fall on tv" got me thinking about what to actually look forward to this fall on the boob-tube.

I am looking forward to (in no particular order):

Scrubs (the best comedy to come along in recent years, imo)

Smallville (I just wish they could be out of high school already and in Metropolis)

Maura Tierney on ER/Charlotte Ross on NYPD Blue

Joss Whedon's new sci-fi show on Fox, Firefly

That 70s show

Boston Public (I am hoping it can return to its first season's form, if not spare us, the viewers)

and the Gilmore Girls (I can't help it, its a really good show that has great writing - I started watching it by accident and now I can't stop)

What are you guys/gals looking forward to?

Frasier
Enterprise
FarScape (oops.. gotta wait until January)
Smallville

Sorry that Titus won't be back...

No longer sure about That 70's Show.. the last season was a stinker.. not at all clever like the early seasons.. Oh well.. it happened to Happy Days too

1. The Amazing Race 3!!!!!!! HECK YEAH!
2. 24, Season 2!
3. Alias... the family reunion. Thank goodness for summer repeats... I would've never known how much fun this show is. Hopefully pretty boy isn't dead.
4. Gilmore Girls... maybe they'll kill Jess or something.
5. Scrubs all the way. Hopefully it won't conflict with 1-4, though.

I forgot about Alias, too. Damn, I have to remember not to miss any episodes or to at least use my vcr - I really wish I had tivo, those things kick ass. Bernie Mac is original and funny as hell, too.

I also kind of like Crossing Jordan w/ Jill Hennessy, too, I think it showed a lot of potential and ended last year with a cliffhanger.

I now realize that I watch way too much television, and I only have basic cable.

1). Amazing Race 3 - best reality show on tv. It's the travel channel on drugs.
2). Friends - it's comfort food.
3). The Simpsons - see above.
4). SNL
5). The West Wing - though I will miss Rob Lowe's character- Sam Seaborne.

But then it would be "Metropolis" or it might as well be "The Adventures of Superman".

I'm looking forward to Smallville and Scrubs as well.

My wife will make me endure Friends for yet another season.

She also likes Everybody Loves Raymond & Becker. That should be all the television I watch this fall, not including NHL games.

I probably should've clarified which Alias pretty boy I was hoping didn't die. Didn't Sydney's handler get washed away in the season ender?

Looking at other people's lists I'm now convinced I could live without a tv for the next year, and really not miss anything of any importance to me.

The West Wing.....I love that Aaron Sorkin banter
Gilmore Girls......Rory, Lorelai, yum! And there witty banter.
Ed.....damn that witty Ed banter.
Alias.....no witty banter, but this show rocks.
Smallville - I really held a grudge against this show all season and then two episode before the finale, I had nothing else to do so I watched an episode. Thank you WB for double airings this summer.

Birds of Prey and Robbery Homicide Division - to see if they deliver.

1. Firefly
2. Alias -- new episodes, 'nuff said
3. Taken -- I'm skeptical about this miniseries, but hopeful
4. Twilight Zone -- Again, skeptical but hopeful
5. The eventual return of new episodes of NYPD Blue and Farscape to the airwaves

Am I the only The Shield fan? The season finale was on again last night, but the promos for the next season all say 2003?!?!?

Other than The Shield, looking forward to:

24
Alias
West Wing
ER

I don't get HBO, so I'll have to wait for season 4 of Sopranos to hit DVD.

"The Shield" won't be back until January, which is why it hasn't been mentioned here.
