I agree. I haven't seen the pilot or the re-shot pilot, but Mia Sara just seems too homely...too girl-next-door.

Mia Kirschner, on the other hand, seems like she's a bad girl (in a good way ) in real life.

I actually don't know much about it, but thought I'd record it for a few weeks anyway. That's what ReplayTV is for, right?

Should be a cool show. Hope they pull it off.

I have seen the pilot already and everyone should greatly lower their expectations. I was wary going in (being the WB and all) and it managed to go down another notch.

[Pics too. Since that seems to be their MAIN selling point. Lord knows it's not the script.]

I saw a version of teh Pilot also. It had Sherilyn Fenn as Harley Quinn, who is going to be played by someone else in the actual show. I didn't think the show was bad, but it did seem more campy than I was hoping. Maybe it was just the acting though....

I look forward to seeing the finished pilot, and how they develop the show, but from what I've seen, I would not be surprised if it did not make it through a whole season. Smallville is a much better show in my opinion.

I thnk that BoP also will suffer from a bad time slot. I don't see Dawson's Creek's fan base being the same people to stay tuned to a comic book adaptation.

Havent seen the show, but I am interested in seeing how badly they screw up the story.

With the sole exception of Batman and Catwoman having a daughter, it looks like the entire thing is taken from the novell "Batman - No Man's Land". Great book if anyone is interested.

eh, it looks like I would watch if the tv is on and nothing else is on, but I don't know how long it could really last.

The premier blew. It really did nothing for me. But then most premiers do. I'll try it again after 3 or 4 episodes and see if it improved.

I haven't seen much about this myself. Just a brief glance of the commercial with Batman and Catwoman together. Will they be making cameos in the show? At least in flashbacks? Maybe Alfred? And from what I saw it didn't appear that the daughter wore a mask. If that's true everyone should know her identity.

I'm very curious about this show but trying not to set my expectations too high.

It answers all of your questions.

*[Unless they reshot more than just Mia Sara's scenes...]

Yeah... the thread is pretty long. I was lazy to read through it and thought that I might be able to get some quick answers.

Will we see Batman & Catwoman in first episode of Birds of Prey?

Does anyone know. They show up in the commercials but I'm not sure if thats footage from the show.

I'm wondering that too. And if we'll see Batgirl before she becomes Oracle. Who knows. We'll find out in less than 24 hours.

Spoiler:
Yup, you'll get to see Babs as Batgirl. Batman is a blur. Catwoman is shown as a civilian.

So, the premise is that Batman and Catwoman had a kid.
Whoa I am out of touch with TV.

From a reviewer on IMDb...

Abomination with a capital "A".
This monstrosity can be summed up with ten words starting with the letter "C."

1. Cheese (The plot.) 2. Crap (The acting and dialogue.) 3. Chicks (Women in leather, the heroines.) 4. Cornball (The humor) 5. Caricatures (Mockery of DC Comics) 6. Comic Book (This show has absolutely nothing to do with it) 7. Cent (Series budget) 8. Copies (Dark Angel, Smallville, Alias, Witchblade...) 9. Chronic migraines (After witnessing this garbage) 10. Canceled (Probably after pilot)
Will watch anyway, just thought this was amusing and clever.

Technically this is based on the DC comics "Birds of Prey" series. And yes, Batman and Catwoman had a kid.

Howard Stern said he hated the pilot this morning. He said it was all talk.
