I am staying with Dorothy even though she could easily have not opened that lock. My case against Dorothy goes back to an early triad style coalition that Lisa formed with Dorothy and Darwin. The result was that Lisa must have trusted both of them and yet she was eliminated the next week. Another Dorothy issue for me was when the usually shy Dorothy pounced on that last piece of cake. Since then, Dorothy has also shown that she can't run or ride a bike.
Darwin and Bill were my co-runners-up. Bill is now my only alternative suspect. The case for Bill includes the telegram and the fact that the other older contestants (Patrick and Myra) have been eliminated partly because they might have trusted Bill.
Darwin played a great game and had been one of my suspects because of Lisa's elimination, the three fines and even that subtle sabotage of the tetherball game. I was really surprised to see him go.
Favorite Cooper-ism of the week: "It's a blend of Heather and Al toe jam!"

My wife picked up on something last night that I found VERY interesting and to me is a real BIG clue.
For the late night game, Anserson let himself in to every person's room to wake them up except for Dorothy's room. He knocked on her door and she was right there, like she knew it was coming and was waiting.
This seems like a pretty darn good clue. If Dorothy is not the Mole, then this was some great scripting on the part of the producers and editors....

Yeah, I noticed that Dorothy's room was the only one that Anderson didn't enter but have no idea why that was.
Anyone else notice how Al managed to give away the information that the other players needed to know for the quiz like his shoe size and how many glasses of wine he and Heather drank that day? Interesting.
I actually liked this episode. Much better than the last couple of shows. My favorite was the midnight game but only b/c it reminded me of summer camp and the midnight games we were woken up for. Those were the best times.
But I digress... Thanks, Mark, for starting this thread every week. I look forward to it every Wednesday and enjoy reading everyones ideas on clues and all.
Like the dork I am I recorded last night's show (mainly coz I was tired and wanted a back up plan) and want to go back and check something out that happened at the start of the show that caught my eye. I'll bring it up later if it's worth a darn.
So who do everyone think will be the final three? I'm hinging on Al, Dorothy and Bill. Bill and Bribs are close to interchangeable to me since they're about equal in their efforts for putting money in the pot.

The date on the subject header should read 7/9...I almost didn't click on this thinking it was last week's thread.
Well, guess I'm eating croW today since I was so sure that Darwin was the Mole. Luckily, my runner-ups (Bill and Dorothy) are still in the game. I'll go with Bill...Dorothy seemed genuinely pissed that she'd been neutralized.
I thought the "Mole" commericial for Goldmember was very well placed.

I thought the "descending numbers will be the key" clue and ascending numbers actually being the key was pretty lame.
Concerning Dorothy... it could've been the second time AC had knocked on her door, and she was already on her way to it... they might have not shown the first knock. Just playing devil's advocate.
However, I wonder if, when Darwin encouraged her to hit the ball out of turn, Dorothy leapt at the chance... it was sabotaging the game, and if someone called her on it, she could just say that she trusted Darwin.
I love AC trying to be all smooth... "Duhhh, it's EASY to pour wine without spilling..." and then he spills a drop and whines, "Well, I've been drinking with you guys the whole time, too!"
Dumb quote of the episode: "It's a mole print!"

About the pouring wine game... I wouldn't have done it. That looked impossible! Then again... after 4 - 10 glasses of wine I'd probably agree to do anything just for the fun of it.

And what if we had an EDtv moment and someone was caught with their hand in their pants?

Re: Darwin -- now that we know he wasn't the Mole, it's amazing that he actually got executed. That tetherball moment must have gotten at least one or two people answering their questions with him in mind (thus giving wrong answers).

I'm sticking with Bill... Darwin was my first choice early on, but Bill surpassed him by the third episode.
Al is definetly getting up there, but so much of this episode seemed too obvious. The blatantly stating shoe size,... well, Al is a loudmouth and people with something odd like that do talk about it, and the challenge involved his feet, so thats no big deal, the ffot size question seems like good misdirection. Plus, its hard for me to buy the Mole getting too plastered, seems way to risky to do if you are the Mole.
Dorothy answering the door, well, that couldve been all editing. Plus, a lot of players have thought she was the Mole were elimiated, therefore I find her unlikely.

I'm still going with Bill as my choice for the Mole. I found it kind of interesting that they spent all that time trying to find the combination for the lock and only after they unlocked it did Bill mention that he saw the combo on the speedometer.
I think the reason it seems that Al is giving the questions away is that he just mentions these things in conversation and then the producers use them as questions later on.
Bribs kicking the tetherball twice while Bill was thinking over whether to get immunity was a brilliant move. Quick thinking Bribs...

Speaking of which... did anyone read Elavia's post-departure interview at ABC? She answered a question about Dorothy's intelligence as 'scarily smart'. Heh. That would be intimidating.

here's another reason why AL is the Mole.
Remember Like I said episode1 when their bags being burnt... which none of the players knew the answers to(which i knew it was used for clues ). One of the questions asked was "Who's favorite Drink is Sam adams and Wine"? katie missed the question. anderson answered was "no, AL".
Well well .... In this week quiz.. number 5
5) What kind of alcohol does The Mole prefer to drink?
Shiner Bock Vodka Cranberry Gin and Tonic B-52
Ales, dark beer Malibu and coke Beer, wine, brandy
Sam Adams Lager and wine A little bit of everything The Mole does not drink alcohol
what's Bill's answer? whats Dorothy's answer?
The mole is AL. You can stick to your gut that its Bill. Or Dorothy ha ha . The mole is suppose to sabatoge games she rescued the team twice . She's trying to do the same thing elvia was doing and your bying it.
Man it's so obvious Al is the mole...

goofee girl (and others): Your welcome. I'm enjoying putting up the polls. I have also been compiling information so that we can compare the polls to the actual results once the show is over.

Al is currently high on my list as the mole, and has been since that early challenge where heart rates were monitored and his was almost off the chart.
Dorothy seems Mole-like, but she wimps out or falters on physical challenges and tends to solve the very tough puzzles.
So far everyone that's been eliminated, including Darwin, has not been on my mole list. But it's starting to get a little harder.

Very interesting point...I didn't catch that....I just have a hard time believing that they would make it SO obvious that she is the mole. She has done some pretty strange things throughout the show. I'm almost at the point where I think they want you to suspect Dorothy as the mole. I'm still going with Bill for now...Until next week that is

Oh...and one last thing....last nights episode only confirms that Bribs is the best player on either season of the mole hands down IMO... And if he ends up being "the mole" he's even more brilliant because he sure fooled me. He has the best mental and physical abilities of any player on either season....

At the start of the show when the players found the card with the clue to the greenhouse combination lock I noticed something... as the players got up from the table and the camera focused on Bill there was a journal left behind. Could that have been the mole's? Secret clue? When they cut back to Bill getting up from the table the journal was gone. Does this mean anything or am I grasping here?

Dorothy is my number 1 suspect now after this week's episode. During the greenhouse game, she suggested disassembling and tilting the car too quickly. And she did it several times. It seems like she wanted the other guys to waste time taking the car apart. Then she somehow was able to figure out the lock combo. Seems too convenient to me.
