Dorothy answers the door

I think there's a simple explanation. Anderson walked into everyone else's room because he could.
Dorothy probably chained her door, and they had to wait for her to get up and unchain it. Had she not used that little extra security device, Anderson would have used his key and entered, just like he did on the other rooms.

FWIW, I believe that the number "6543" has the numbers dwindling, like a countdown: 6-5-4-3. I don't think they intended to refer to the ascension of an odometer.

Also, I think it was meant to be a double entendre: "dwindling numbers" also refers to the Neutralization Game, and since Bill was the last person to leave the table, you could take it to mean that the number of players sitting at the table dwindled until the neutralizer was chosen.

That, and the fact that most of the players misinterpreted it as the "dwindling number of players left in the game," just shows how these taunts are clever to the point of obscurity.

Well, OK. I'll accept that. Especially since I don't suspect her anyway. I think that she is another Elavia (i.e. - the producers want us to think that she's the Mole).

What I meant was that the numbers 6543 were dwindling (and not descending, thanks)... but the actual "key" to the combination lock, 3456, had an ascending number sequence as opposed to a dwindling number sequence. Ah, well, just a peeve I had.

It was because she answered the door the fastest. And why did she answer the fastest? Because it looks like she was the only one who didn't really go to sleep. They showed a bunch of them turning off their lights. Dorothy kept her light on and she was reading or writing.

For some reason, Dorothy faked Anderson out and made him believe he woke her. When she opened the door, it looks like the lights were out and she didn't have her glasses on. But she still had that same sweatshirt from the shot of her having the lights on. Why would she fake like she was sleeping?

After this week's "Admiral" clue, I think it's probably Bill.

But Dorothy is still suspect.

Thanks jar... I realized after the fact that she was the one who was awake and going over her journal. It's most probable that her secondary lock was locked and she had to open the door for AC. Unless she had just fallen asleep when he knocked on her door it doesn't make sense to pretend to be asleep for him. The players know there's a camera in their room, right?

Anyone else think that Bill look like a little boy as he walked down the hall and into the elevator wearing his pjs that night? Heh.

But, remember, during the taping of the show, Anderson doesn't know who the Mole is. So, he isn't privy to what's recorded on the hidden cameras and other Mole-related stuff. So, the Mole has to act non-Molish even in front of Anderson. Perhaps that's why Dorothy did that? But that's only true if she is the Mole. Maybe she just stays up late and went to sleep just before Anderson got there.

Heh. Yeah... I'm one of those mole nerds who watched religiously the first season (Temptation Island just didn't do anything for me ) and even taped the last episode (although I have no idea what happened to the tape) so I understand how the mole play acts for the crew. What's interesting to me is last year's winner, Kathryn, was hired as a producer to help choose the players, the mole, and help plant clues but swears she didn't know who the mole was until the end and was very surprised to find out who they chose. I thought she knew who it was thru the whole taping. I'm really interested to see who it turns out to be. I only hope it isn't Heather... she's too saccarin for me.

I'm working under the logic that since it was a woman last time, it has to be a man this time.

Whoever it is, it sure is keeping us guessing. It would be interesting to meet some of them in real life outside the game.

Spoiler:
But the first letter of "admiral" is A and the last letter is L...so the mole must be AL! I can't wait til Al gets booted, and bill is revealed as the mole. But until then lets all hold in our "told you so".

here's another clue why I think Al is the mole ..

on the QUIZ

episode 9
on the quiz question number 1 .
1) What size shoe does The Mole wear?
7 7½ 8 8½ 9 9½ 10
10½ 11 11½ 12 12½ 13 14

what size is dorothy? what size Bill? whats bribs? whats heathers?whats the point in giving the audience questions they dont know the answer to?

I dare all of you to find a question on any quiz except the quiz when elivia took the bribe.. (because there was no execution and the questions didnt matter )that I cant answer that has to do with AL.
another clue while looking at letter the on the table for dwindling numbers Al says must be some type of combination...

I am going by clues. I am not decoding numbers. or using my gut feeling.
Al is so the mole.

It can quite simply be misdirection... They honestly don't want veiwers to know too early, keep them on the fence until the end, therefore thats why I dont buy into the obviousness of blatantly going on and on about Al's foot size... Remember, for all we know they could have had a roundtable discussion days before about what size shoes everyone wears, or for that matter the question could be from an entirely different episode just inserted onto that particular nights show for drama. Every reality show does such manipulation... Thats why I rely on my gut instinct more than anything else.

There are tricks in every reality series, like Survivors, "whoever gets facetime early in the episode" and "last minute attempt to save themself/turn the tide" bit always tells you exactly who is getting booted, each and every time.

They cant do that it would effect game play to viewers.. You forget after the Credits of each and every Mole episode, there is a disclaimer saying nothing that was edited out would affect gameplay or left out for the viewers.Which means the only size that would matter would be the mole. Which by deduction is Al cause he's the only one who gave his shoe size. Havent you noticed that every episode a personal question always refers to ALwhich he answers with your "obvous" suspects?. The only Time on the quiz where you couldnt answer for Al is when Elivia took bribe. Making that Quiz cancelled. Hence, not effecting gameplay.

The only way your statement above would be true is if they didnt have that disclamer.. or a disclaimer saying some stuff may be edit out that would effect gameplay.

The disclaimer basically says that portions of the show that were edited out does not affect the OUTCOME of the gameplay. What that means is that they showed you everything that would have affected the outcome of the games.

If you read my message above, there are MANY quiz questions that the audience cannot answer just because they were not shown in the show.

Just because only Al's shoe size was the only one revealed, that doesn't mean he's automatically the Mole.

Take another quiz question for example:

4) Did the mole eat steak with lunch yesterday at the Ristorante il Tabarro?
Yes No

Do YOU know if Al ate steak with lunch at the Ristorante il Tabarro? No. Because they didn't show Al eating. They showed Heather and Darwin eating steak. Does this mean they're the Mole? No.

If you apply your "logic" to other quiz questions then EVERYONE is the Mole.

Exactly! This was true in the first season two, and there were plenty of times where the only person we knew the answer for turned out to not be the Mole. Whether or not Al is the Mole, the whole shoe business is irrelevant.

Also, I wouldn't get too worked up about finding clues. Last year when the "clues" were revealed they were actually coincidences that really didn't offer any insight at all. This time around there has been some more blatant stuff (such as the telegram), but I've also heard dispute on whether those clues actually were on the show, or if they were photoshopped in by fans.

Although I think that Al is the mole from gut feelings I'm also looking at the players who are being presented as the least likely to be the mole. Bribs hasn't had the kind of airtime that puts him on either side of the fence... he plays some games well and others not so well. He's a perfect division of player and manipulator. So is he the mole? I hate those editors.

I'm really looking forward to the final game... that oughta be fun. Last year's game was fairly interesting and easier to play with only 3 people. Even better than the very last game will be the reunion show... that's when they'll give away all those *hidden* clues and give us more insight into this year's series.

One little thing that's never been mentioned before that I love - the opening credits only show the players that are left. I think that is very cool, and I believe it's the only show that does that.

Ok... I don't know you very well but could you stop with the 'you said' comments? Every week you're pointing out who I think is the mole. If I commented on Bill it's because I comment on everyone. Enough already. This is a thread I enjoy reading every week... I'm here to discuss the show, not rehash what someone said as a supposition.
