I will agree that a couple seasons ago the show was pretty terrible, but this last season was impressive...several classics in there.

However, your answers are somewhat hypocritical...you refer to its "glory years" and such but are still listing it as one of the "Worst TV shows ever"...hence the title of this post.

I will agree it's had some bad years (every show has) but speaking long-term, over it's 13 years, I wouldn't think anyone could label it one of the worst shows ever.

I believe a show has the potental to become the worst show ever, even if it had a strong 1st or 2nd or even 8th season its still entirely possible for things to completly degrade to the point where it becomes totally intolerable.

It also depends of if you look at the entire run or how it is in its current state. Usually when i show is finished and there are no longer any new episodes then i view it as a whole. When something is still on the air i judge it on its current form.

Why judge a still running show based on its current form? Because there is a possibility it will come out of a "slump" as to a completed show cannot.

I still stand behind my opinion, the simpsons have turned into one of the worse shows ever. When i watch it i dont laugh, i dont crack a smile, i dont even find it quoteable anymore. When a comedy that used to make me laugh and bring me joy doesnt deliever anymore, i'd say its pretty terrible.

One show that has totally tanked is "Saturday Night Live". The best show on TV when it first came out, but nowadays I just don't get it. Maybe I'm getting too old.

It's hard to comment on the truely bad shows because, thankfully, most of them I haven't seen. But I'll have to nominate that one with Ellen Degenerate in it. What was it called? Ellen? Gag!

That was the only cool one.
yep that's the one.

I will also add "Maude" to my list of worse ever. Adrian Barbou being on the show was its only positive aspect (s)....but Maude scared the hell out of me.

"Delta House" - an unecessary and horrible spinoff of National Lampoon's Animal House. It's probably not the worst show ever, but it's darn close.

Honk!

I can think of some recent ones in the area of legal dramas:

The Court
First Years

At least ABC's "Delta House" was an official TV version of Animal House. NBC had its version called "Brothers and Sisters" and CBS had another one called "Coed Fever." As I recall, they all sucked, but not as bad as NBC's "Supertrain" which aired the same year (1979).

I vote:

Friends
Sienfeld
90210
The Cosby Show

Why? They were all overrated and ran too long.
