I'm not really a fan of the show, either. I like Ozzie, but he's completely unintelligible; making the "jokes" difficult for me to laugh at. And his family is annoying. I'd much rather listen to one of Ozzie's albums than watch this show.

I like the show. I think its because this family, on the surface, has no redeeming qualities. But after watching for a few episodes just about everybody endeers themselves in some way.
Plus, its just bizarre. Much like the appeal of the new 'Surreal Life' for me.

And the close-ups of the dog's expressions after some of the **** the humans say is priceless!!

You picked the wrong season to start watching. The first season was very funny and fresh. It's a little contrived now and one of the main characters having cancer doesn't make for a bunch of laughs.
