Band Of Brothers Question
I LOVE
BAND OF BROTHERS
and i cant wait for the DVD release, now i have a question...does anyone know/think that maybe Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks will be making any other BOB series maybe with a different division or squad (eg. a tank division, pilots, war in the pacific) or anything else related to WW2?
(ATTN: mods i think this question is in the right forum because i as well as many others would be interested in a DVD set of another BOB series but please correct me if im wrong)

The miniseries is taken from Stephen Ambrose's book of the same name. Ambrose is a historian who's apparently quite good... he may have written other books about other units. Considering their collaboration on Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan, it seems like WWII is something close to the hearts of Spielberg and Hanks... so who knows?
Since this started out as a TV miniseries, I'm going to move it to TV Talk.

I don't think they'll do WWII again. Earlier this year, they optioned the rights to "John Adams" and were talking about making that into another 10-12 miniseries.

You are correct about the Ambrose connection. Purely speculation on my part; but Dr. Ambrose has been in the news for alleged palgerism. That may scare off anything they may have been thinking of doing.
