Well MTV is supposed to give awards to the MTV crowd, so thats why the nominees and the winners were from major blockbusters. Theres only a few awards that were deserved this year such as LOTR winning best pic and Will Smiths performance in Ali IMO. The funny thing is that I'm part of the MTV crowd (17 year old male) and I hate MTV with a passion.

Yep, they don't air it live.

It airs on MTV this Thursday (June 6th).

They are usually pretty funny so I am going to tune in. Also want to see how Kelly Osbourne handles singing live (which she is, no lipsyncing in the clip I saw).

I also hate MTV for the most part (im a 19 year old male). I rarely watch MTV. But i am glad Mandy Moore won, she did good in that movie and is easy on the eyes. Not to mention SMG is hosting.

I thought the white stripes were awesome (kinda wish the Hives would have been on though). Do you guys get the feeling that this kid loved to play guitar and thought to get better he'd con his sister into playing drums to keep a beat for him and they just kind of ended up as a band. She doesn't look to excited to be there.

Wow. Jack Black can make anybody look good if they're standing next to him. Sarah Michelle Gellar did a pretty nice job in my opinion. Surprised the hell out of me how well she kept up with his schtick and crazy gags.

Adam Sandler and Winona Ryder's pudding breasts were also enjoyable:}

Entertaining show. As usual, the awards are a joke, but it's kind of nice to see the performances. I wish they wouldn't waste their time trying to do legit awards like "Best Male Performance." Just stick to the "Best Kiss" and "Best On-Screen Team" and such. Those awards are what set the show apart and make it interesting.

The one thing I hate about this show is the damn_fans. They're so busy screaming about everything that they make a horrible audience for the performers and award-winners.

It was fun to see Jack Black and SMG perform together. Anyone surprised by how talented and daring SMG is should get used to it. She's not the typical no-talent teen idol. And of course, Jable was in top form, as usual.

I loved how they made fun of Tom Cruise in that opening sequence, and the giant nipples on SMG were great. Brittany Murphy needs to lay off of the cocaine. Denzel Washington seemed truly honored ... not. The Martin Lawrence thing was lame unfortunately. Eminem was great and seemed MUCH more comfortable than his performance on SNL a month ago. Kelly Osbourne wasn't too bad for a topical performance and a good choice of song, but I wouldn't be interested in seeing her perform in another situation.

All in all an entertaining evening.

I got a laugh when Michael Bay went up there. He f***in' dedicated the GOLDEN POPCORN to the people who died at Pearl Harbor. That was just ridiculously funny.

The opening song number cracked me up bigtime!

"And people having sex" (SMG bends over).. and a whole chorus singing "Aassssssssss"...

And the LOTR p...s piercing!

I amuse easily

Really great show. I loved Jack Black. The skits were some of the funniest I've seen. The only real prob I had was that rotating thing in the background when the people told their acceptence speeches. I couldn't stare at it for too long without getting a little nauseous.

Pick your poison, I guess. I get nauseous listening to the acceptance speeches.
