I do have to add that I just wish Adam Sandler would go away and dissapear from the face of the earth. He is not funny and is irritating.
His bit with Winona Ryder was predictable and unamusing.

Who was the "Dana Plato" look alike they kept cutting to during Eminem's performance? Was it his GF?

Does anyone have an approx. time the Kelly Osbourne song is broadcast during the show, in terms of 1/2 hr increments?

I'd assume you mean Brittany Murphy? She's in Don't Say a Word, Girl, Interrupted, a bunch of other stuff, and of course, 8 Mile, coming up with Em. I know they became very good friends while shooting it, and although to my knowledge, there have been no confirmed reports, I wouldn't be surprised if they were dating - she seems to be in love with him (or it may have just been whatever she was on that night )

People are saying they thought SMG looked great, but I have to disagree. She looked pretty, but she is another one suffering from the hollywood too thin syndrome. I mean did you see that last dress with the pancake breasts????

This show is pure garbage. I only watched an hour of it yesterday. The only reason I watched it was to see Kelly Osbourne's performance and after that I switched the channell.

The only thing I liked about it was the White Stripes performance, I thought that great.

I thought Winona Ryder looked hot,
she's not flabby at all.
Hollywood is seriously messed up with the weight thing,if anyone thinks she is fat, she actually looks like a normal hot chick and not a skeleton like everyone else.

The sketches were the best part. I'm not a SMG fan. Basically, a 2 hour puff piece.

The Osbournes is a very good show but other than that why give Kelly a showcase for her song? The performance wasn't bad but it wasn't anything to write home about.

"I'd like to accept this award. I just came back from a tour of Tattonie with members of the Senate, a few Jedi's and Padme. The poverty there is horrible. Write you're Senators and get more money there. I want to say Great things about the women there. Your strengths, your power, your willingness to give it up so often. Thank you."

Was anyone else bored with Chris Tucker's acceptance speech? When did the MTV movie awards podium become a pulpit for political issues? Look out into the crowd, Chris. Most of them don't care. Just tell'em when Rush Hour 3 is coming out.

No kidding. I thought she looked terrific.

Even if she had put on a few pounds.....they all went to the right place.

I agree with the list except for Chris Rock and Jack Black.

But I'll assume you haven't seen any of Jack Black's movies and you've never heard any of Rock's award-winning comedy specials.

Do I need to tell you what happens when you assume?

I have seen several of Jack Black's movies and Tenacious D shows. My opinion of him is based on that.

As for Chris Rock, he is indeed a very funny stand-up comedian. I can name a dozen funny stand-up comedians.

Honk!

I started to watch the award show but then my attention drifted to other things on TV... so did Jim Carrey do anything funny? The best MTV award show moment ever was when he went up to the podium as a stoned biker dude. I heard he didn't even break out of character when he was backstage.

No, Jim Carrey didn't make an appearance. Although I usually like him, he grates on my nerves sometimes as he has done with his MTV appearances.

Agreed but I don't see much difference between this and anything else MTV does. They often seem to find ways to get their beliefs or allow celebs' to weave their beliefs into their programming.
