Hard to believe there are no Divas Las Vegas threads! I really enjoyed the show this year but I could have done without hearing Shakira and her duet with Mary J Blige. That was pretty awful.

That's the exact point when I turned the show off.

My girlfriend made me watch this pile of crap. I thought it sucked. That Shakira chick needs to shut her mouth before uttering another word. That was the worst sounding thing I have ever heard. It sounded like she was trying to sing like Cher, but sounded even worse than Cher does. Which is really hard to do. Then, they totally butchered one Elvis song after another.

I only watched it to see Shakira, and even that was disappointing. I spent most of the time saying "What the hell is this crap!"

Not to turn this into a Shakira bashing thread but she is just plain awful live. Every performance I have seen her singing live sounds like someone was skinning cats on stage...just abso-f'in-lutely terrible.

I don't mind Celine's voice (although she has resorted to screaming now to get the high notes) I just can't stand looking at her when she sings. She is oddly shaped with that huge-ass mellon head of hers, and makes those crazy ass hand movements. If they had Celine Dion and Mariah Carey singing a duet standing face to face it would look like a Kung-fu fight with all those damn hand movements.

The worst for me was watching Celine playing air guitar on her leg. WTF was that about? And then later she was singing some song (I didn't recognize it, so maybe it was one of her own) and she stopped the song for a second and gave the audience a face like "Can you believe I stopped singing? I know you want me to go on." She is...unforgivably self-aware.

I hate to continue the Shakira bashing, but fact is fact. Exactly.

Both Cher and Shakira have that vibrato thing happening. It's a trademark of Cher and I don't mind it with her. Shakira does it and it's like nails on a chalkboard. And she does so many strange things with her voice.

Celine was doing an AC/DC impression I think with the guitar movement on her leg for the AC/DC song. Actually, I like it when she stretches beyond the heavy AC ballads she is best known for. Celine should go back and sing more fast tempo and R&B music as she once did.

Anastacia, one of the guests, has a great voice. You should check out her new album.

The duets of Mary J and Whitney and Stevie Nicks with the Dixie Chicks were pretty good.

Celine Dion turns my stomach. I'm surprised she is able to fit on that stage with her gigantic ego.
