Is the X-Files over?

I haven't watched in a couple years, but I wanted to tune in for the last few episodes to see what conclusions they came to. Am I too late?

Oh man....Its been over for a couple of years.

What is on now is a empty shell of once cool series.
Really too bad it has to go out like this.

I woundn't get your hopes up. Chances are it will just be more vague setup for the films.

Don't bother watching it. You wouldn't understand it since you haven't been keeping up with the storyline.

Don't listen to das Monkey either his negativity is clouding his judgement.

I tend to agree with das, though I do hope the final episode has some level of a decent payoff.

I don't expect any real conclusions or adequate wrap-ups from the finale, because I think the whole alien arc has become sooooo convoluted and twisted.

I did read a quote from Gillian Anderson in the latest Entertainment Weekly, where she refers to the finale's final scene as something so strange she "couldn't get her mind around it" (or something to that effect).

Maybe there's hope.

On occasion I agree with das too. I'm trying to remain optimistic, but supposedly there's another movie in the works and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they took the opportunity to set up the movie with the series finale.

Unfortunately, the bottom line for most of these people is the almightly dollar.
