the WWF is now the WWE

It's now World Wrestling Entertainment.

As a result of the World Wildlife Fund lawsuit! New/ modified logo!
Ugh, this sucks.
Vince must be in a foul mood these days with the ratings plummeting with Hogan as chanp and the Rock on the fence about coming back!

See for yourself! WWE.com

Sucks to be them.
So is it just the logo change or a total brand re-naming, is it now the WWE and WWE Raw?

Yes, it's now the WWE belt, WWE Magazine, etc. Apparently, they cannot use the letters WWF in any way. For instance in the SmackDown re-cap they say Hulk Hogan was defending his World Wrestling Entertainment belt against Chris Jericho. I guess it is a retroactive change as well..

ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN THE WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT

From Wrestleboard.com
From what various sources are saying, tomorrow night on RAW, the WWF will start a major campaign. As to how they go about it is unknown as of this time, but RAW will undergo major changes starting this Monday.

To open the show, there will be all new logo's (The same ones that are on WWF.com now). The show will not use the "WWF" logo from this point forward.

From what is being said, WWF lawyers informed several people dealing with the situation in Stamford that this was a 'no win' situation for the WWF and is already going to cost them millions of dollars.

So, tomorrow night on RAW, the WWF will start a campaign that they are calling "Get The 'F' Out"

--As another indication on WWF's name change, the WWF.com team has just registered the domain names:

WWE.com, net, org, biz, info, us, tv, cc
WWESuperStars.com
WWEShopZone.com
WWEDivas.com

--However, the name "WWE" is not yet pending for a trademark according to the US Patent Office.

Should be interesting to see how they work this one.

Judging by the ratings last week, people are already "getting the f out." But seriously, I can't believe that Vince actually listened to his lawyers and gave in considering he had one (hopeless) appeal left I believe. First smart move he's made in months. But I can't believe they went with that horrible neutered logo. Since Vince loves "sports entertainment" so much he should just call it WSEF, or maybe WEE, World Entertaining Entertainment. Everyone needs to go WEE!

To make matters worse, tonights Raw was LAME!!! I almost busted a gut when Hogan tried to ride a stalling bike up the ramp as Undtaker tried to look frightened. Also, the turn of Ric Flair was all but telegraphed. Finally, the Big Show looked like a Big Buffoon at the end doing those stupid belly laughs.

WWE?!? Dumbsounding at the best!

they knew this all weekend went through telling everyone to change things. Printed new shirts, and then good ol J.R. is wearing a WWF shirt, that doesn't make any since and this proves my thought that J.R. is just like Pat Summeral to old to keep up.

The thing with Hogan trying to get the bike up the ramp was friggin hilarious!
I think this show just keeps getting worse and worse each week. There is not really one interesting storyline on the program anymore.
I think I'll watch some ECW to get the bad taste out of my mouth. No storyline there either, but at least the matches were interesting

The story lines are pretty lame right now. I only watch RAW....and the only reason I watch RAW is because of Brock Lesnar. Besides the Hardy Boyz, he's the only wrestler I find entertaining to watch.

Also, there were a couple of instances where "Insurrection" was said to be "WWF Insurrection". Most likely just a slip-up by the talent/anouncers.

Hogan trying to ride the cycle up the ramp was hysterical. Gee let me get off the bike and chase Taker instead. No wait that won't work.

We have that pretaped segment I did where I drive a truck over Taker's bike backstage so it can't still be on the ramp. I have to go back and get his bike off the ramp somehow?

Switch to the announcers while I figure this out

As for the WWF --> WWE logo changes, when Booker T stopped into the 7/11, the Slurpee Machine still had WWF written on it.
Well they can't think of everything.
