I made a comment on the sci-fi radio show Six Siders about how I feel ST is predictable and that Berhman is not good for the show! I was immediately chastise for making disparaging remarks about the show. I was told that negative attitudes and not supporting the show "even if it is sub standard" is dangerous and could cause the show to be cancelled. This seems to be the prevailing attitude from people I talk with. It is refreshing to hear the comments posted in this forum. I would rather not have a show than to have a bad one, and I will not support sub standard work with my valuable time or money.

I've often felt this, that there are too many folks who think it'll be the end of the world if ST ends.

On the other hand, to be honest, I've posted here before at least a coupla times that "even bad sci-fi is better than no sci-fi at all." That has, of course, been met with disagreement.

For my money, if it ends, oh well. If it continues to be crappy, I'll prolly watch. I fell off the X-Files bandwagon last season and didn't get my knees durty, meaning if something is playing opposite this drivel I'll likely switch in a heartbeat. (Plus, there's always the Sunday replay.)

I am also a ST whore. But I am SO tired of getting the clap.

I can only hope that, when this dies, that BB & Co. will be branded as the ones who "killed Star Trek" and will hear the words, "You'll never work in this town again!"

Can you honestly say it's as good as it's been?

Or, better question, ST never existed and this was your first taste of it, would you say the same thing?

Yah, I "like" Enterprise, too. But I've seen better.

Don't forget Yesterday's Enterprise is on again tonight.

Pretty much agree with all of that. I welcome any new Trek and will watch all of it, but if it sucks, I'm not going to bitch about its departure. jms has often said, "I told the 5 year story everyone said I couldn't tell. I'd love to do more, but everything else is just gravy." Trek has contributed more to television than anyone could ever imagine and has an enduring legacy not even B&B can tear down. Even if we never see another Trek series (or another good one), truly great television survives, and as long as this world exists, new fans will continually be exposed to the three visionary series currently in the vault. We've been fortunate to have enough "gravy" to last us many lifetimes.

They keep producing Bad Trek and some of you keep watching it "Just Because. Thats what Braga and Berman are counting on, getting a paycheck and cranking out the same ol' crap.
I watched till the end with Voyager but if this is the best they can do, I am not watching this one to the end. The plots are simplistic and generic and why shouldnt we Bitch for more.
This is not very good Sci Fi and just because its "Trek" doesnt mean you should watch it and this is coming from someone who used to defend it.
Get some good writers in there and quit playing it safe and I may start watching regularly again but if these and the Boards on Aint It Cool News are any indication, the show is in trouble.

Comment: Archer's crew encounters Khan's ship. Wait!
>> Are you saying that
>> Kirk's crew is the first to encounter Khan's ship?
>> Uh, yeah-- like
>> continuity matters in this show! Anyhow, they
>> encounter Khan's ship, revive
>> him, then Khan goes on a murderous rampage, taking
>> out the entire crew then
>> sets the ship to self destruct before returning to
>> the Botany Bay, where he
>> re-enters hiberation and is discovered many years
>> later by Kirk's crew. A
>> neat, clean, and dignified way to end it.
