My vote went to Genevieve. But I have to say the Paige is growing on me. I missed Alex for a while but I think Paige is just more fun, not bad to look at either.

Will they ever show repeats with Alex. Ive never seen her.

I don't know why they won't show the Alex reruns. She was great.

They showed an Alex re-run today at 4pm. (Monday)

My ReplayTV picks up the 4pm weekday re-runs and I saw her on there before I deleted it (already saw that episode.)

Saw it! She's like the polar opposite of Paige. The show seemed SO different without her ... maybe I don't hate her as much as I'd thought. Heh.

Alex was too sedate and too slick, from what I can recall. The show seemed like just another half-baked goofy design show with her as the host.

Paige, for all of her annoying qualities, brings an effervescent enthusiasm to the show that I think gives it a completely different dimension than other design shows. She reminds me of those old Judy Garland/Mickey Rooney "Andy Hardy" movies, where they suddenly shout out "Hey kids! Let's put on a play!". I think her lack of a professional, slick, smooth presentation works well for the show.

Alex just seemed like a spokesmodel who was posing too much. I never felt she was really involved with the goings-on.

Paige is much better, but of course, neither one of them holds a candle to the original: Carol Smillie, from Changing Rooms.

She is great: warm, witty, and extremely likable.

Paige got my vote. While Alex is a hotty she is a total witch. Why do you think is no longer with the show. I am a big fan of the show and I have read stories involving people in the first season of trading spaces, where they just said she was a witch. She would trow temper tantrums and walk of the set. In fact one of the times they even had Amy Winn Cover for Alex and host a small piece of one of the shows.

I have also heard that is the reason she is not a big part of the Joe Millionaire Show. She is supposed to be the host of the show, but when she was the witch that she is, they decided to have Paul Hogan (the Butler) be a bigger part of the show.

Alex was the bomb.. she was funny in her rants and really helped build up the count-down tension. Laurie is my second pick. Man oh man.. she's great. Simple beauty, played down. She's not afraid to get her hands dirty or help move junk around. Give me a girl who's comfortable in sweatpants one day, a dress the next, and has her spunk. Those days in sweatpants....

You're right, the show is mildly entraping. It's got that "reality tv" pull to it where you wonder how the couples will like the changes. The best part is when you know they hate it but can't show it...
