(3) Cheers : Just not funny

(2) Taxi : See above

(1) Friends : This show ran out of ideas 4 years ago.
Even the weekly previews make me wince.

It's a bit older than most of the shows being discussed but if someone could tell me why The Flintstones lasted past the few episodes, I'd be obliged. Didn't it run in prime time or at least in the evening? So apparently adults were a big part of the viewing audience. Speaking for myself, I don't find it remotely funny and even when I was a kid I avoided it like the plague. And the animation, even for back then, wasn't very imaginative. It seems to be a beloved franchise for many but I just don't get it.

That 80's Show

At least in this forum. In another thread folks are acting as if Jesus Himself brought the show down from heaven.

What are you talking about? Not even in the That 80's Show threads are people praising it.

Anybody who hates this show must've really looooved the 80's. I think the new wave jokes are hysterical. Some people are too close to this decade to appreciate the banality of that horriffic time. They probably also hate "American Psycho".

One of two positive comments in the entire thread. This thread isn't shows you hate, it's popular shows you hate. There is no evidence that this show is anywhere near popular either in the real world or on this forum.

Actually, it's "Overrated TV Series." I would argue that ANY praise for "That 80's Show" is overrating it.

Seriously, my pic is "Ally McBeal." Boo hoo hoo! I'm rich and pretty and I have a new hot guy gushing after me every week. Feel sorry for me!

If you are naming Seinfeld, it is simply from the over-adulation from the late-coming critics. It's easy to criticize it now, because we know the episodes....but when you turned on the TV each week, you knew you were going to get something new and fresh. You can't say that much for 99.99% of series out there.

Friends has been a horrible soap opera since season three. At first, it was a nice, funny novelty, but now it is simply a despicable star vehicle. The damn_thing doesn't have to be funny anymore...... it's all about their relationships. And it's boring.

Why was Seinfeld so good for so long?.....

no hugs.
