Sarah is just lame and getting uglier as we get to know here
Gina, rocks!
I think the Rob and Sarah or the other two what ever there lame arse names are will hook up with Gina. If not what happens after she is gone. It would be bad for either of them to get rid of Gina for sure. But hey they are to stupid to know what is good and bad.
Hunter should have made final four.

I really don't understand comments like "hunter should have made final four"
I thought all along that the weak people should ban together and vote off the "favorite." That is what the game is about, isn't it?
What is the point a la' Africa of having a "favorite" person ie: Ethan win? Shouldn't the others see that he is the fav. and eliminate him/her? Letting the strongest people make it all the way is just boring and detrimental to everyone else trying to win 1 million!
I liked Hunter, but he didn't read his tribemates very well. He was way too "motivated" in a group of clearly un motivated people - they were bound to hate him.

Hunter's military background helped in the "survival' portion of the game, but not the political portion of the game, thus, he was deadmeat after being perceived as the slave driver to the majority that makes up the Barquerlounger All-Stars.

The reason I thought he would go far was more about his attitude and how he was playing. He was straight with everyone. I thought by the merge he would have had a good alliance.
Anyway he is gone now, what do you think about my Gina theory?

I agree with Patman and The Governor. It baffles me as to why so many people are reacting to Hunter's ouster this way. I think it made perfect sense. And for those that think Hunter should have stayed, consider this: Barring the small possibility that everyone posting here looks like Hunter, is as strong as he is and has the same background and skills, what would you do?
Honestly, if you were actually on the tribe, a lot of you would probably be a little nervous about letting someone like Hunter get very far in the game. Especially considering the possibility of an individual immunity run later on. And for those that think they booted him too early, had Maraamu won any challenges with him there? If anything, quite a few were more annoyed by his presence, so maybe the group will be more focused without him.
It just seems like every year, a large group of people, including certain contestants (i.e. Hunter, Frank, Debb), continue to think this game is about being the strongest, or knowing the most about survival skills. In 'reality' though, we've known since the first Survivor that it's about so much more.

Sean has the personality type that makes him think that his $#!+ don't stink. He pretty much deserves all the hunger pains he's suffering through.
It's been a while since I've seen such a lazy mo-fo.

It was tons of fun hearing and seeing Sean piss and moan about not having rice. He refuses to eat much of what they find, including the grapefruit-like substance. And he says he'd rather eat a bowl of his own "doo-doo" then to eat that raw fish again. I hope he was thinking of the nasty "sauce" that the fish was in, because nothing wrong with the fish itself.
I must say again that I hope that they don't mess with the Rotu tribe until the merger, that the Maaramu tribe deserve to wallow in their own misery.
As someone stated, the game is not about survival in the ultimate sense. But it IS about teamwork, and being together....
Someone said they've been waiting for a group to come along that works together? They're in this show...they're called Rotu. Despite all the injuries they've had, they've held together just fine.
I'm anxious to catch this next show....whats the deal with back to back Wednesday showings? Is there a ratings problem on Thursdays? Or is some sport coverage preemting them?

Kinda sucks, since where I live (Sacramento), the CBS feed is one hour earlier than the rest of the CBS feeds. And, since I get through Dish the east coast feed of USA Network, I have to find ANOTHER airing of Combat Missions.

I don't know about you guys, but I think this is the worst thing ever for the Rotu members. I mean, what are we, in middle school? One tribe has been blown apart, and the other has dominated, so what do you do, make everything "FAIR" for the Maraamu tribe. Well guess what chief, it isn't fair for the Rotu clan. They've busted their butts to win the challenges, and they HAVE. They've been smart about it, where as Maraamu hasn't been smart in the challenges or CERTAINLY not in voting people off the island. Maraamu has been getting their head kicked in at the service of Rotu, and now Rotu is going to be punished for playing the game effectively, just so people don't stop watching....I know it's the only way to save the season, but come on, isn't it kind of lame? Those poor Rotu members

I agree 100%.
They should leave the tribes alone or merge them. If they merge them the Rotu tribe can vote out the Moron tribe.
I hope they don't switch 3 members from each. That would really suck. Could you imagime being one of the Rotu tribe members who have worked really hard then all of a sudden your on Sean, V and Sarah's team ?
What a nightmare !!

Woohoo! I just saw the episode. And I was right in picking Hunter to go!
I just didn't know how right I was. I clearly liked Hunter in the first episode, but from the second and esp. now you could see how big of a sore loser he is. He deserves all the credit for being hard-working and organized, but he doesn't have the slightest clue when it comes to reading people and dealing with them. And no matter how lazy Sean and Sarah may look now, I'm sure they'll survive just fine without the mighty hunter. Gina has the same condescending attitude as Hunter, but she managed to stay in his shadow and didn't offend the others as much.
Sean has no clue what he's talking about and neither does Sarah. Sean has some sense of humour at least. Vee... seems to play a pretty good game but it's probably due to her personality not her strategy. Rob looks like the ultimate moron, but could turn out to be the Will (from Big Brother 2) of this show. That would be awesome!
Moving over to Rotu, we have my overall favourite: Gabriel. If the game proceeds under normal rules and Rotu will enter the join with majority, I'm looking for Gabriel, Neleh, Paschal and... someone else to be in F4.
As for the "twist"... The preview says:
Voiceover: But when the survivors are given the chance to take fate into their own hands, the game takes a drastic turn...
Sean: Here's when the game gets really interesting.
It looks like the things could turn somewhat individual. It cannot be an early join since that would clearly favour ROTU. I doubt it's the same swap as last year too.

Was it really that close?
In the immunity challenge, they make it look really close, and that Maraamu almost won. But could that just be the way they edited the show?
I mean wouldn't it be much less exciting if Rotu just blew Maraamu away again? Cause after Rotu won, they pan over to the Maraamu tribe, and the cocanut wasn't in the middle circle.
So either they edited it to make it look close, or Maraamu's cocanut backtracked out of the center circle?

Does it feel like we havent really gotten to know a lot of the Rotu members yet, or is it just me? They've mostly been focusing on Maraamu. Maybe this indicates that Maraamu could still go down the tubes
I'd have to pick Gabriel as my favorite player of the 13 left. He seems to be having fun with the whole thing
I also see a Roger/Elisabeth type relationship starting between Neleh and Paschal, which is nice.

I'm still waiting for a group to come on Survivor who has actually watched and learned from earlier Survivors.
My guess is it's more of a factor than you would think. I'm fairly certain I read somewhere that they edited out all comments pertaining to previous shows.
I think Rob really funked up. At this point I think they should have still been thinking as a tribe. It would have been possible for them to win the next few challenges. Especially considering things seemed so close on this one.
I know he wanted Hunter gone, he's obviously the only threat on that team (other than Gina who I was hoping would win) but the goal is not to be the last on your team, it's to be the last in the game. I think he's taking a short term approach. Yeah, he might get to the merge but if he's the only one going into it he's not going to last long at all. Particularly if they get rid of the strong members now and he's the strongest going into the merge.
I was very disappointed Hunter was voted off. That group is lazy and I can't hardly stand to watch them. Personally I hope they don't split the tribes. I'd like to see this one get picked off one by one (they deserve it) and then see the other have to turn against itself.
