Well, since I mentioned the episode I better answer...

You find out that Remington's con-artist mentor Daniel Chalmers is his father... and he called him Harry.... therefore his real name must of been 'Harry Chalmers'

BTW...I had to look this up... I'm not a Remington Fanboy!! :D

Not really memorable (or the finale), but the one I liked most was a police show back in 97, I can't even remember the name, but it was kinda like Third Watch, it was about those guys in California who robbed the bank with AK's and pretty much beat the cops to crap... I don't think it was the finale, but the show was not picked up for the next season or something, so it left you in suspense about what had happened to the injured people, wounded, etc...

It's pretty much the only finale I remember.

Wonder Years had me in tears(almost every show had me in tears) at the last show. The show always made me feel like I was reliving my youth again. And when the last show was over, I felt like I was at the end of my youth again.

Time to grow up again.

If I could buy eveyone of the shows on DVD right now I would. The 1st and last show were both fantastic!

Angus, I think it was revealed in the Mid Evil episode

I Married Dora....

This forgettable short lived series finale had a very surreal ending. As the the lead character steps on a plane to leave the family, he abruptly exits the plane and announces "it's been cancelled". Dora replies "your flight?". Dad says "no, our series". The camera pulls back as the cast hugs and exits the stage.

The I Married Dora one is classic. I remember watching it when it aired in the 80s and have never seen it again. No one seems to have any episodes of Dora on tape (yes, yes, I can hear the comments "duh cuz it sucked"). I never said I liked the show, just the final episode was pretty good at that last twist.

I just re-watched the Caroline in the City final episode today on my Tivo.... I hate NBC ! All I needed was one more season... just one more episode to find out what happened! Oh well.,....

The saddest part of that episode was when
Spoiler:
they reveal Kevin's brother takes over the family business after their father dies. It just hits you kind of hard.

These 2 stick out the last couple of years for me.

Highlander the Series. 2 part finale "To be or not to Be"
And the finale of La Femme Nikita.

The best is probably the Fugitive. It was the true first.
St. Elsewhere to this day with that Snow Globe
still sticks in my mind. I would love to have that prop.

Does anybody know if a site exists that lists the endings for these and other shows?

Well, if we're talking about most memorable final episodes, I'd have to vote for:

The Prisoner

That was one whacked-up way to end the series. Most of the episode had me scratching my head, but at the very end
Spoiler:
No.6 returns to his home with the Butler. The Butler walks to the door which opens by itself. No.6 gets into his car and drives away. After a clap of thunder, he is seen driving on a runway exactly as he was in the opening title sequence
I had chills running up my spine.

I loved The Wonder Years and still watch the reruns, but I never caught the final episode....what happened?

yeah, that was it. unfortunately due to those idiots at abc, we never got to see dan and rebecca or casey and dana finally get together.
Aiee, a Sports Night discussion and I missed it! My two cents... they just re-ran the series finale on Comedy Central last week. Dan rips up Rebecca's number. As in, he has no way of getting hold of her. Do you think that mean that he wasn't going to get back together with her? I guess it would've set the stage for Rebecca to pursue Dan like Dan had pursued her in the beginning ("I have work to do!").

Oh, wait, I haven't given my two cents yet. Teri Polo (Rebecca) is a beautiful lady. Whoo. I had never watched Sports Night until it came on Comedy Central... when I saw that Pamela Martha Focker was on there, I was pretty happy. :)

And Duran said:

I wonder if there's anyone who actually cares enough to have made those spoiler tags worthwhile?
Seems to me that people have started to err on the side of too many spoiler tags. Most of these episodes aired years ago! :)

1. If the event was already aired as part of the main show, please don't put tags on it.

2. Previews show events that haven't "happened" yet... if it's in a preview and the main show hasn't aired yet, please put tags on it.

3. If you enter a thread about a dated episode, expect that discussion about the episode will be taking place. If it's important for you to remain spoiler-free, it's best to avoid the thread just in case.

Agree with you 100% ... er ... 99%. If it's a major television event, like who killed Laura Palmer or what happened at Z'ha'dum, I think it's polite (and not overboard) to spoilerize it just in case, especially in a thread like this that could cover hundreds of TV shows. You're absolutely right that in episode discussion threads it's most annoying. Here, however, there's enough breadth of discussion that I think it's acceptable (though not particularly mandatory since the subject of the thread is pretty clear what's going on in here).
