But, really, what else are they going to say? They do have to promote. And obviosly their commercials are working, at least for some of their shows. Oh well.
Well, they could say, "Watch this show, because it's good." Or "watch this show that's about ****" but instead it's, "watch this show cuz someone from Sienfeld is in it" or "watch this show, because millions of other people watched it once."

I guess I get tired of being told to watch a show because some unknown "millions of people" watched it last week. That's the most hollow promotion. Tell us what the show is about or give us some tangible reason to tune in. "XX million viewers" does nothing for me. And it's even worse when they say crap like, "Monday Night's #1 New Drama." What kind of nonsense is that? How many new dramas on Monday night are there? Um ... hmmm .... one?

Whatever works for you, I guess. Personally, I want something ... anything ... that has substance in a promo. Some concrete reason for me to tune in. How many sheep stumbled into it really says nothing to me.

it's just a tv show that is mildly entertaining for those of us who like comedy...

Um ... I said I enjoyed the show. In fact, they ran a good promo last night actually telling me why to watch the show. It was still riddled with "22 million viewers blah blah blah," but they showed a short scene with JLD and Carell that gave me an idea of what the show was about and why I should tune in. That's all I was asking for.

I don't think the show will last, unless they keep it away from competition and/or bracket it between two popular half-hour shows.

Pretty much the only entertainment I found in episode one was seeing Julia running around in a bra. I totally forgot to worry about the second episode.
