WTF, over? I'm starting an "Enterprise" thread?
[Wizdar rants again] I suppose it’s necessary to put up with preview teasers that not only misrepresent programs but also appeal to prurient interests. I may be outside of the target demographic, agewise, but I can still appreciate the female form and sexual situations as much as the next horny dude.
I find myself making a Christian rant, something to the affect of, “Why do they have to ruin it by putting in [language, sexual situations, violence, whatever…]…” With the exception of Bakula’s now-trademark phoned-in performance, this episode has the potential for being among the best of Trek. It has the feel of TOS, mature yet intelligently presented subject matter, humor (country boy Tripp embarrassed about s-e-x), a little gratuitous violence, some familiar-sounding background music. Why, oh why, did they have to “ruin it for me” with that lame-assed, juvenile opening shot of Blalock’s left breast? Was the director confused, thinking he was doing an episode of “Son of the Beach”??
Don’t get me wrong, boys and girls. I happen to think the breast supports the most erotic feature of the female form. But there’s a time and place for everything… [/rant]

I just watched this episode during a lunch break. It was very disturbing, and I felt really bad for T'Pol because the mindmeld pushed too far was the exact equivalent of mental rape, and T'Pol's damn tough to rebound as she did, but I think it'll have some repercussions down the road (her willingness to trust has been dropped a few more notches).
Archer can be so damn stiff and wooden in his speech pattern, that's painful to watch. It's like he's trying to keep his chest puffed out while talking.
I've never seen such a plump Vulcan before in my life.
Does anyone think that Trip's question on Vulcan mating was due to his interest in T'Pol? So no one know if there's a female equivalent to Ponfarr for Vulcans?

Wizdar, I know exactly what you mean. Each episode seems to have the most contrived sexual situation they can come up with just so they can use it in a misleading promo. It completely ruins the otherwise interesting aspects of the show. If there were a reason for this gratuitous sexual trash, it would be fine, but there's no reason to keep showing them in that sonic shower or keep zooming in on N'Pol's boobies or having everyone dream about her naked. Once or twice for effect ... fine. But every week? I guarantee you this is a mandate from Braga - it's his style.

From: Bartertown due to it having a better economy than where I really live.
well TOS showed just as much skin on a weekly basis as any show besides Baywatch
I liked the emotional vulcans, except for the mental rapist guy. he sucked. the fatter one was cool though

I've been trying to give The Unbelieveable Scott Bakula a chance since before this series started. But he's proven time and again what an incredibly bad actor he really is. He makes Mark Hamill's acting in Star Wars look like an Oscar Winning Performance by comparison.
Oh well, the dog's cute, and the fat vulcan reminded me of this total geek I once knew.

That kid was definitely a "big boy".
And I was thinking the same thing about the Ponfarr... is it every 7 months perhaps?
This episode was kind of a letdown though after all the good ones lately. blah.
