Combat Missions - 2/27 - USA Network
Just a reminder about tonight's ep... 10 PM EST, on the USA Network.
Watch Delta's Navy SquEAL Scotty explode (or at the very least, whine vehemently) at Alpha's Dan O'Shame, possibly for last episode's Ponchogate fiasco and the ensuing sell-out of Alpha teammate French Minestrone. Er, Monastery. Er, Monestere.
And we get a new mission... amazingly enough, there was no indication from the episode preview as to what it will be. To top it off, a new wrinkle... the Dossier Room is CLOSED, meaning that when a squad discharges a man, they go forth from the Discharge Room short-handed.
Watch as people yell at each other and stuff blows up! Good times will be had by all!

Too bad about Alpha squad. I was hoping that the Scott would cause problems to lose, or that Delta would "throw" the mission to get Scott off. Ah well, Alpha had too many of the members killed.
Next week, the unbeatable goes against the unwinable.

WOO!! Static!! did ya get to see WEB's head!?!?!
His head was shown when Rudy was talking to them in the Snake Pit?
How'd they simulate the helicopter exploding when the helicopter nose dived?

Wow, the whole time I thought the Scotty/O'Shame showdown would be Ponchogate fallout, but it had nothing to do with that. It was just Scotty spouting off. Every time that guy opened his mouth, I wanted him to shut it. You remind me of my grandfather?! I threw the remote up in the air on that one. And what the hell was that about a Just World Hypothesis? I think it's more of a representation of what happens when you go into the mission with the intention of shutting up Scotty (like Oates said) instead of putting complete focus on the mission. Also, I would think someone in the special operations community would have more respect for the concept of honor and not throw around (even jokingly) accusations that a fellow operator wasn't honorable... apparently, the comments started from Alpha Squad, though.
That mission must have sucked. Making enemy contact about five seconds after getting off the helo? Starts you off a little tired and tense, I'd think. And just kidding, your new extract point is 400 m away. Ugh. Just patrolling 400 m isn't bad, but it's different when you've gotta carry a patient. Big props to Alpha for completing the mission with two guys (near the end) faster than Delta did it with five.
Another good ep... but MAN... just too much Scotty. Seriously.
The helo crashing? I'm guessing they edited it for television, and in real life, it looked nothing like how we saw it.
Next ep...
