"The whole entire show was built on Kevin's love for Winnie. Why then make it that they dont get together?"
Because the show was about him growing up and the people were who in his life at the time.
The show was great because it was so real. I can't think of many other shows that are so believable. And it wasn't just the finale...it was many episodes along the way that didn't end in the perfect, peachy way. To me, it was those striking, sad, depressing aspects of the show that made it was it was.

Seriously this is an age issue. I grew up with BMW not WY.

The actual ending is a heartfelt moment in Mr. Feeny's old classroom.

3 dozen replies in a half a day to a 3 year old-1 post thread. Killer.

I have to argue about it being "lame." Brilliant, heartfelt and touching come to mind for me. Giving Sam the option of going home or continue helping people was great. Especially going back to help Al with his marraige, which he could have done 3 years prior but didn't because of "rules." After all the years of Al helping Sam, it was Sam's turn to give back.

but I didn't see Boy Meets World until syndication when I was in graduate school....it was on in my area everyday after classes...so I watched like the whole show in a short period of time.
It's hard to pick a favorite between the two.....
It's been ages since I have seen a Wonder Years rerun. I have doubts if the show would hold up well for me today.
I agree with nightwing,
Topanga was hotter and far more interesting than Winnie Cooper, and the Cory/Shawn friendship is what made Boy Meets World so interesting......
I don't think I can really pick one over the other without rewatching some Wonder Years eps and seeing how the show holds up for me as an adult.

Tommy Ceez: Topanga was Soo much better than Winnie that It makes me believe that some of you people here are retarded
das monkey: Wonder Years was by far the better show, but Topanga owns Winnie.
ryuryu2949: Wonder Years (close) and Topanga (not close)
dadaluholla: I think I'd take Topanga over Winnie.
Here's four pictures. One word each.

Boy Meets World and Topenga. I loved it when it first came on, and I have since bought the DVDs. I was actually surprised how well it holds up. I hope Wonder Years comes to DVD, so i can give it more of a chance.

Well, I'm probably the most surprised to see this thread... since I don't remember starting it. Just saw the thread title and was going to post... but then I saw I was the OP. Interesting.
I think I might have posted it as a joke, but seriously, 3.5 years I really don't remember.
I actually do really like both of them though. Wonder Years probably gets the edge for it's saccharine sweet nostalgia, but Boy Meets World was probably downright more hilarious (The one where Feeny and Corey go on the roller coaster had me crying at one point)
And I'm going to have to agree with Dooku. Wholeheartedly agree with Dooku.
A conversation my brother had with one of his friends when his friend came back from spring break
Brother "Why'd you take a picture with that fat girl?"
Friend "That's Topanga."
And yes, it actually was

I think Jennifer Lyons
is very very sexy. .........................................................................................It would be a tough choice between her and Danica.

Yeah, Danica looks pretty good today (although, let's be honest ... she's nothing special; if she weren't "Winnie all grown up", we wouldn't notice her), but Topanga was hotter than Winnie.
