In no particular order:
MASH

Mad About You
NewsRadio

Larry Sanders Show
I didn't include Britcoms but Black Adder and Fawlty Towers would figure in this if I did.

Re: YOUR top 10 sitcoms of all time
1. Family Ties
The 80s yuppie values vs the 60 hippie ethics is funny stuff to me. Plus mostly everyone was pretty likeable and were a great fictional family
2. Growing Pains
Looking back, Carol was the highlight of the show. Mike could get annoying at times, along with Ben later on.
3. Three's Company
I used to hate this show as a kid with the retro looking apartment and clothing. I think the manager wore a scarf and bell bottoms. Now though, Jack is hilarious and the back and forth between him and Mr. Ferly are great. Even though Chrissy was hotter, I though the nurse added more to the show.
4. Boy Meets World
An average, safe sitcom. The show really found it's groove when the show started to focus on the cool, older brother's mental regression.
5. Frasier
This show has some of my favorite episodes of all time. When Frasier is dating the supermodel but no one believes him or when Daphne teaches Niles how to dance.
6. Seinfeld
Of course. Kind of dislike it now though.
7. Cheers
Made me think that everything and anything could happen in a bar.
8. Bosom BuddiesSeeing a big time movie star acting a tv show was pretty cool at the time. A show I never realized was weird until seeing it much later.
9. Arrested Development
Not enough good can be said of this show.
10. Golden Girls

Re: YOUR top 10 sitcoms of all time
I just started looking through this thread and was like, ummm, ok, so no one listed Arrested Development?
Then I realized the thread was a freakin' decade old, and the two posts that are recent both included AD.
Wow how the "sitcom" has evolved over the past ten years. Or heck, television in general.

Love that your list includes King of Queens and Roseanne. To me, two of the most underrated shows of all time. I guess Roseanne was a big enough hit that it is hard to call it underrated, but KOQ definitely did not get the respect it deserved.

Re: YOUR top 10 sitcoms of all time
I'm a little confused here. I always thought "sitcom" referred to the sort of stage-bound, taped-in-front-of-a-live-audience sort of thing (like AITF, Sandord, Cheers, Frasier, Barney Miller, Honeymooners, etc.) as opposed to just plain comedies such as Gilligan's Island.
Some comedies seem to have a foot in both camps...Seinfeld, for instance, used a lot of locations but was primarily located in the characters' apartments. However, I still always thought of 'sitcoms' as those shows that placed characters in a more-or-less static situation (thus the term) and rarely strayed from that location. I noticed a lot of people mentioned Addams Family...I never once thought of that as a "sitcom". Likewise, shows such as Freaks & Geeks seem like classic comedies rather than sitcoms.
If this thinking is wrong, it's hard to believe that one of the gems of tv history (Andy Griffith Show) didn't make almost everyone's list. The first five "Barney" years are nonstop classics that never grow old.
