A great one, unbelievably enough, written by none other that Sidney Sheldon. Go figure. The title is "Need to Know".


This one, I believe, is only about 10 minutes or so in length. Interestingly, episodes were of different length, combined into packages of about 45 minutes--you could have 1, 2 or 3 episodes, but usually there were two.

Of the already mentioned episodes the other favorites of mine are "Message from Charity" and the one about the man who can't understand other people any more (don't remember the title)

A very good one also is "The Star", an adapation of an Arthur C Clarke story.

"A Message from Charity" was one of those episodes that had footage added. It originally ran at about 37 minutes but runs in two parts in syndication and totals about 42 minutes.

It would be tough call if they decided to put out this series on DVD as to which version to use. The extra five minutes might be interesting but unwanted by the director.

Wow. This thread has brought back some memories.
My brother and I used to watch TNTZ on and off for awhile.
Of course one of the episodes I missed he tells me about all the time. It is one mentioned a couple of times above where little blue people are building time in the future just ahead of the present time.
I have always wanted to see this episode very bad ever since.
Maybe now at least I may catch it on old TNT reruns.

My favorite new TZ episode is "Wong's Lost and Found Emporium" - about an antique store that appears from time to time, where people can find magical items they can't find anywhere else.

It's called "A Matter of Minutes" so you can better look for it.

In case you didn't catch it, "A Matter of Minutes" will air on March 23rd along with the episode, "The Little People of Killany Woods."

Both of these episodes were originally 15 minutes in length so some sever cutting will be done to fit them both into a 21 minute time slot. Hopefully to the latter episode as it's not as good as the former.

Did someone mention Alfred Hitchcock Presents....hmmm?
I loved the 80's series - so much so, I paid $80 for the Japanese LD release of the pilot which featured Melanie Griffith, Stephen Bauer, Ned Beatty and Annette O'toole. The last story featuring a nurse (O'Toole) who spends a terrifying night in a huge mansion caring for a dying man brings to mind Black Christmas and When a Stranger Calls - it has that type of tension.
Of the series, my favorite all-time episode starred Catherine Mary Stewart as a frazzled architect whose actress sister is driving her crazy with all her "acting experiments". The ending is one helluva jaw dropper.
