Man, I've seen a couple commercials for this and I've actually marked the date on my calendar.

This does look like a pretty cool mini-series.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a "How many stupid horror house controlled by little girls and investigated by crazed scientists do they have to freakin' make?"

If you me, the answer is, "More." There actually aren't many haunted house movies, at least not as many as you'd expect. I think I've seen all available, and it really amounts to about a half dozen, and I don't recall any of them being controlled by a little girl.

This movie shows some promise. Hopefully it will be in the same vein as The Changeling or The Legend of Hell House. Since it's King, I kind of doubt it though. I'm expecting a couple of creepy scenes followed by the angst of figuring out what's really going on followed by the general nausea created by a sappy ending. King just doesn't seem to understand anymore that sometimes, they just all have to die.

His last "written for T.V." mini series (Storm of the Century) was pretty good. The ending was far from happy. As long as we dont see anything along the lines of The Langoliers :shudders:.

I agree...The Langoliers was pretty weak. I am looking forward to Rose Red, though. But then again, I am a huge Stephen King fan, so I look forward to everything he does.

FYI: Rose Red was referenced in the book Black House.

He talked about houses that were jusdt plaing built evil, like BLack House in French Landing and Rose Red in Seattle... kinda cool.
