Once & Again 1/11
New episode on tonight. it's being pre-empted in Detroit thanks to the stupid Auto Show special. However, I just found out they are running it at 12:35 after Politically Incorrect.
According to my ReplayTv guide, the episode says soemthing about a tragic accident disrupting Karen's life. Last week's previews made it look like she was suicidal.
I wonder what's going to happen?

10 pm. to 9 p.m. and not advertise that change
They did...I think it was during Philly or maybe NYPD Blue about
week and half ago. I also posted in last weeks thread, that it
was moved to 9 pm. Might have been to late for east coast.

I thought she was supposed to share custody with Rick, but it seems like the kids are always with him now.

Whoah, Karen gets a "Meet Joe Black" moment and her life will never be the same again. I gotta say that Karen looks really great in the buff.
Billy Campbell as Rick showed some really subtle bits of good acting as he's picking up on the signs of Karen's impending new bout with depression. And when he was at her side in the hospital, you couldn't help but get teary-eyed as he did.
I get goosebumps whenever Jessie sings, she's got a nice voice, probably would have been on "star Search" if that show were still around.
So does anyone think Jessie's new "girl" friend is a lesbo/experimental lesbo? She's creeping me out a little bit, I wonder if they'll write Jessie some clues on that whole new "best friend" gig.
I foresee Eli being his mother's helper in the coming weeks/months since he's unemployed, and they'll grow closer for it, but by the time the summer comes, he'll finally get a decent lead on a job, and Karen won't need him around to tend to her needs because she should be healed by then.

Anyway, another damn_good episode ... duh. And, yes, Campbell was great in this episode ... well, everyone was great in this episode. And is was nice to not have Grace bogging things down with her problems.

I agree that this was a great episode. I am regretting the fact that I missed the entire first and second seasons - although I watched the first few episodes of season one, loved them and then got so busy that I forgot about the show until Sela Ward won an Emmy.

This episode was kinda hard to watch at times.
That "thing" was expected by came unexpectedly.
The "friend" is definitely a bi-chick.
Where was Grace??
Off with Eric Stoltz???

The funny thing about this episode is when Karen was walking down the street and suddenly thinking about things she has to look forward to, I turned to my husband and said:
Wouldn't it be funny if she
?
And then of course it happened right then. I had to laugh because I called it exactly.
I'm not sure about Jesssie's friend being a lesbo, but I am preety sure Jessie is one. Or at least, I think she has a "crush" on this girl but might not yet know what it all means.
They seem to have gone out of their way to establish that Jessie thinks boys are yucky, which is pretty odd for a high school freshman girl, if memory serves me correctly.

While Karen was listing the things she was looking forward to on the sidewalk, I was thinking, "Karen, watch where you are going..." BOOM! It happened.
When the doctor listed Karen's injuries, I was, like, "Man, that would suck to be laid up with a broke pelvis, shattered knee and the other leg injuries."

It was pretty touching how Jessie ran out and bought the ugly blouse afterwards. Even better when Karen admitted it didn't look right.
It was cute when Rick asked Karen if she hurt herself intentionally, how she said "Actually I was feeling better...."
Alanis Morrissette couldn't have defined irony any better that that
