Sorry I'm late with this everyone, but due to my ongoing ISP connectivity problem with this site...I couldn't post last night...what a surprise!
Anyway, the first thing that came to my mind was:
Candyman, Candyman, Candyman.....Ahhhhhh!
I think that it can be deemed official that kryptonite will play a role in each episode, but I thought this one was very good. I also wish they would show more of the relationship or lack thereof between Lex and his Dad. I got the feeling that Lex was somewhat jealous at the end of the episode when he was looking over at Clark reuniting with his parents.

I kinda watched it but didn't pay too much attention to it. All I could think of was the dude who was in The Rock and I kept playing scenes from The Rock through my head.

I missed last night's episode because I fell asleep...
Here's a link to an interview with the exec producer of the show:
http://www.supermanhomepage.com/tv/i.../al-gough.html
I like the fact that he's aware of people beginning to tire of the kryptonite freak of the week stories and that they'll be moving away from those types of stories during the second half of the season.

From: Bartertown due to it having a better economy than where I really live.
I almost started this thread last night
I was thinking klingon empire over and over again (tony todd played worf's brother, commander kurn)
pretty decent episode. Clark's starting to figure out that the meteors are responsible for all these people's wierd conditions. Lex's curiosity about Clark is growing. "Clark, how did you lift us up?"
Clark wants a few friends over and the whole chool shows up
it was cool when Clark went looking for a barf bowl. he stayed at normal speed and everyone else stopped, shows what it's like from his perspective

There were some nice touches in this episode, as already commented on, the super-speed from Clark's POV, and Clark braving and facing the effects of the kryponite in Tony Todd's character to save both him and Lex.
The parental love that Lex and Clark experience was so well contrasted in that last scene, where the hugs that Clark received from his parents were out of love, while Lex's hug from his father was out of necessity to avoid anymore more of the press. This will heighten Lex's eventual dislike/hate for Clark, who has all these unexplainable powers, and is so well-liked and loved by his parents.
[edited out the extra cut-n-paste job]

I was too tired to watch this show on Tuesday night, but got a chance to watch it last night via VCR tape, so here are my thoughts.

I couldn't believe Clark would throw such a "small" party at his parents' house with them gone to Metropolis for a wedding anniversary get-away. That part of the story seems out of character for Clark. But it's nice to see that he does have needs to fit in with his high school, but I'm sure he'll learn another valuable lesson with such a party.

Damn, you must've been tired when you posted this, too, cause you repeated yourself quite a bit.

I've made plenty of post editing errors in my day... Ah, the joys of extensive cut-and-paste...

i liked this episode especially since it was a break from the weekly bad guys. it also gave us a chance to see some of the stuff that might eventually break up lana and what's his name which would leave the door wide open for clark to swoop in.

I thought Lana was the hot one in the early episodes of Smallville. After watching all the episodes so far I can honestly say that Chloe is the hot one. I mean, her personality is cool as hell and well........ shes freaking hot. You can tell shes a wild one in bed.
