The "Smell the shoe" lady had me LOL! because she was just in the zone of that role. Ronnie's expression was priceless.
BTW, Jeri Ryan does look nice in a pair of jeans.

also, what school kicks out pregnant students? my school had pregnant chicks, and we weren't nearly as messed up as Winslow.

It is very common for pregnant student to be sent to "alternative" schools. Sometimes it is also done with students with children and includes activities for the children and parenting skills classes. Note that this isn't "kicking them out", they are still in school.
So, is it just me or is "hook" getting scarier... (from preview) I wouldn't accept her invitation to "come in"!

i'm just saying, pregnant girls stayed in my school...i would thing winslow would be a lot more liberal on that area considering their record on teachers carrying guns and the such.
hook lady is scary.
shoe lady was funny, but the last few times she came in, she really had a reason for him to smell the shoe

I'm wondering if the hook of Hook Lady will be changing sizes in the coming episodes as foreshadowing of bad things to come?
Gruber and the Hook. Bwah-hahahahaha! "Want a cookie?"

I'm kind of surprised that they are having the teachers revolt against the hiring of a teacher without credentials. From what I understand, this is very very common. Especially in California. Most teachers start out getting Emergency Credentials and attend school at the same time to get those credentials. My brother is a teacher and he said that something like 40-50 percent of teachers today are working with Emergency Credentials.
Surely the Jeri Ryan's character, having been a lawyer, is more than qualified to be hired under these circumstances. Either way, I loved how she made the statement in the secret meeting about how wonderful it was to be working in an environment where people don't backstab each other. Priceless.

I think the other teachers just feel stupid that they went to school to study "education" or whatever and then they see these other people come in and they can do the same job without that teaching degree.
I think for teaching little kids you might need specific "Education" training, but I don't think it's really necessary at the high school level. A college degree in whatever courses you're teaching should be adequate.
After all college professors are experts in their field--they don't need any specific teaching classes to teach at the highest level.
I also loved the way Ronnie walked into that meeting and made them all feel catty for what they were doing. It immediately made me like her character.

Oh my God! Beth Littleford in a serious role! So I guess she is no longer on Spin City? Of course, I abandoned that show when Michael J. Fox left. I miss her interviews on The Daily Show.
Man, Goober is so friggin' desperate! Is there ANYONE he won't hit on?
