Digital Cable questions
I just got hooked up with Comcast Digital Cable...A few questions.
1. The "universal" remote doesn't work with DVD players, any ideas?
B. Do any High-End Universal remotes work with a Motorola Digital Reciever?
2. Is it possible to remove stations i.e. PPV's and Cinemax's that I am not subscribing to? It would be nice not having to have to scroll past them on the menues, or is that what the Favorites button is for?

1. I guess it isnt universal then. Most allow you to program them to work on any device via the AUX button. Read the manual.
The high end Universal remotes work with pretty much all late model electronic devices.
2. Are you saying your getting Cinemax for free and you dont want it?! Or you dont have it and you just dont want it appearing on the menu? Either way you cant alter the gude as far as I know. The cable co. wants you to see whats on all the channels to hopefully entice you into getting the larger tier package. There is no "subscribing" to PPV those channels are there if you order the PPV or not.

Hey I have a Dish so of course I need more than one receiver for the tvs.
With Digital Cable can I just run the cable lines to as many tvs as I want as I do with regular cable? Or if I order HBO will I still need one of those boxes on all the tvs?
Just wondering.

Actually, on our Comcast Digital Cable, on our non-box TVs, we get HBO (not the multi-channel ones though) with our standard basic channels. We do not get the other movie channels though (they require the filters).
I don't even use the universal remote they gave for it. I have one of those Cinema 7 All-4-One remotes.
