Ed 10/24
I didn't see the whole episode... but what I saw, I liked.
- I liked Dennis's "lesson" to the class on The Great Gatsby. Too bad he was being an ass while he was delivering it.
- And then, when Carol started telling Ed about Dennis being mean to her AGAIN, he makes like he just went narcoleptic...
That got me rolling!
- The "bingo" concept was pretty funny... we have bingo at my school, too.
- Stubbs (?) fixing the bowling ball without letting the bowler know about it was a nice touch.
- Carol. Man, she's fine. That's about all I have to say about that.
- Ed putting the slam down on Molly. A little harsh, but she was riding him for doing his job. Sometimes, you have to do things you don't like.
The only thing I didn't buy was Carol giving her class the whole hour to themselves. I liked her "new teaching method" right up until then.
I'm glad I discovered this show... I missed the entire first season, but I'm trying to catch up.
And about the preview for next week's episode...
Ed good!

as an ed fan from the beginning, i am glad to hear that you have caught on this year. it is always good to have more ed fans. i would hate to see this show get canned due to low ratings.
as for your remarks about carol...yeah, she is hot. and she looks better this season than last. when she was writing on the board during her new lesson that part about 'what is wrong with daisy?' i was wondering how long it was going to take her to realize about ed's statement about him being gatsby fit in here. instead of 'what's wrong with daisy?" she should've realized that it really was meaning, 'what is wrong with carol?' ok i hope that all made sense to everyone.
maybe it is just me, but i think that they seem to be setting up an ed/carol thing sooner rather then later. they seem to be dropping little hints all over the place. last weeks final line from ed to carol, the ed/gatsby..carol/daisy thing tonight, and also carol's reaction at the end of the scene where they are eating lunch struck me as odd too. however, all that being said, i think that they are going to postpone it long enough for the principal to ask carol out and make ed jealous.

I for one am getting sick of Molly and her little rants/pout fests. The prinicipal is just being a dick as well, I still think he has the hot for Ed

It's pretty obvious that the principal has the hots for Carol, but he probably wouldn't rule out a menage a la Ed if that's what it took.
That whole deal with Ed=Gatsby was also a nice touch, and amazingly the writers kept it for season 2 instead of blowing their wad in the 1st season. Carol is so "Daisy" that it's painful to watch sometimes.
And I'd be buying plenty of suits in that Hooter's of Suits place!
In high school, our form of Bingo was tracking the Analysis teacher for her mistakes on the chalkboard. We found that we could figure out her menstrual cycle (her mistakes went off the charts during though few days of the month).

Aside from that another great episode but my only other gripe is Mike who is my favorite chracter's wife getting more air time b/c I actually hat her more than Molly. Her voice is so annoying.

We had two episodes with Molly being whiny, and we get Ed commenting about how much she whines.
We get a bunch of episodes of Molly not dating and then we're obviously gonna get a "date" episode next week. She'll probably get laid and mellow out for the rest of the season.
Every time I have a complaint with the show, it seems to get rectified with a change in the opposite direction, which keeps me tuned in.

Does anyone else find that Phil Stubbs goes really out of his way to do the right thing (getting the Devastator bowling ball replaced and stalling for time in his oddball way)?
