I am still waiting until TiVo got the first 15 mins .. so i can watch it in one go and FFWD the commercials ... but heck .. i feel that the little TiVo description totally spoiled the plot .. well .. i will see in 45 mins

Uh oh ... don't look now, but this show's pretty darn good. Solving problems with good ol' fashioned human creativity instead of technobabble? We sure Braga's involved with this? Oops ... there go some boobies ... yeah, Braga's involved.
Ni'Pol's still a bit too emotional, but she's getting better. She's still relying on that damn_smirk and hasn't quite figured out the difference between being logical and being a bitch, but I guess she's doing better.

WOW .. that was a very enjoyable and very basic back-to-the-roots trek story .. no silly B-story about someone's cat or learning how to dream (though i liked those back then)
i reallly liked this one and everone's performance in it .. and .. well .. besides babe t'pol .. i really like hoshi ! !!
and then again .. big kicks against the TivO service .. this was the program description (well .. ad-lib)
yippieh .. so .. there were no real surprises for me until minute 43 .. but even after it it played very very nicely ..
i thought that mss steamy vulcan would use lil ole neck pinch on trip .. but no ... the don't exploit it .. they just throw it in

I agree on Tuvok. Leonard Nimoy and Mark Lenard are the only actors to pull off a Vulcan, IMO. No one has come close since.

Pretty tame episode.
Now, before you get the flame throwers out: I’m talking about the difference between TOS, which this reminds me of, and today’s Star Wars inspired SF/Sci-Fi. Not a whole lot of SPFX.
It's refreshing.
Fitting, IMO, considering the time frame (pre-TOS), to rely less on technology (FX) and more on brains/negotiating skills. I can almost hear Shatner over-acting those lines.
But it makes me wonder just who the target audience is.
There’s hope yet for a “Ho, boy” outa Archer. I won’t rest until it happens!

If the Wang rumors are true, he likely wasn't kicked off the show, because he got along with everyone and was fun to have on the set, whereas Jennifer Lien (pronounced "lean", which she's nowhere near now) is kind of a beeotch.

The only good thing from this episode was that we got to stare at the stoic sexiness of T'Pol. She sort of looked like a wax museum statue when they were in the cave and illuminated by Trip's flashlight.
