The Mole II Bible Burning

Did anyone watch as the bags were burned along with a bible that was in side one of the bags. I didn't ABC felt this way about religion.

this was actually the first time i have seen this show since its existance. I thought it was terrible that they burned all their stuff. that girls cow which had so much sentimental value to her and the other girls bible. not cool IMO, but i guess thats television.

Have you ever considered the idea that nothing was actually burned? Nothing was ever shown except the bags. I'm willing to bet that the Bible, the cow, and all the rest of the personal stuff wasn't burned. Youy watch. It will all show up later in the show for some dramatic reunion of contestants with their prized possessions. It'll be all teary and touching.

I agree with Boot on this one, I doubt that the personal stuff was burned.

Come now, burning bibles and stuffed cows, and pics of the guys wife and kids? They'll show up later.

You make it sound like ABC was deliberately burning a bible in order to make some sort of statement. The bible just happened to be with the other possessions (or did it?).

I have some reservations of the burning of the personal items myself. I thought the real bags might have been tucked away somewhere. The producers were probably well aware that some of the contents in the bag were quite personal, and I doubt they would actually burn a bible! It seemed to me that this exercise was to raise the degree of suspicion and conflict amongst the players (which is what the show is really about!).
