I'd just like to pat myself on the back for calling the singing teachers sketch.

I'm also in love with Maya Rudolph. Her Versace was still the highlight for me. I'm guessing we'll see that again.

I have nearly no interest in Sean William Scott or Sum 41 next week.

Remember when this show used to have real stars as hosts
George Carlin was the first host ever get him back anybody but these teeny stars and teeny bands.
Next Week

If you think Reese Witherspoon and Alicia Keys aren't both superstars and seriously talented individuals, you're crazy.

As for Sean William Scott and Sum 41, well, yeah ... you've got a point there

SNL could be worse though

It has been losing momentum in the past couple years, but I think it still has a chance. I think Horatio Sanz and Tracy Morgan are hilarious, and not used enough (Morgan is in the show for about 2 seconds each week; what's up with that?!) I disagree what some of you are saying about Weekend Update; it's a lot better from when Colin Quinn was doing it. Did you know Tina Fey is one of the head writers? I'm going to miss Chris Parnell though...he was a good addition. They need to diversify their cast more. I'm sick of seeing white actors playing black roles, or having them use Tracy Morgan for Oprah simply because he's black. (although I guess they use Maya for that now) Anyway, I just wanted to put my 2 cents in.

Did you know Tina Fey used to weigh 800,000 pounds, and it still scares the crap out of me to see her on camera every week. I miss Parnell too. I've been saying for years that they need more black talent. Tracy Morgan's funny, but his range is pretty limited. When you look at Phil LaMarr and Debra Wilson over on Mad TV, it's obvious what SNL is missing.

I don't even know who he is!

The 9/29 episode seemed especially lacking when I compare it to the new issue of The Onion which managed to tastefully tackle the tragedy head on and provide some much-needed cathartic laughter. Aside from a couple of good jokes on Weekend Update, SNL really chickened out in my opinion.
