Actually the MTV Movie Awards will probably stop the flow.

I can't believe you want more Real World. How about actually playing some music for a change? MTV is only watchable at about 3 in the morning.

MTV doesn't nearly play as much music as it used to. But if you only watch during primetime, you won't see videos. They do run them most of the day though.

yeah...it's annoying how MTV has strayed from what it used to do...too bad i don't get mtv2 or else i'd watch that more as opposed to mtv cause they actually play music videos...and as far as the vma's go...yeah i was really disappointed by it too...i mean...what was up with britney...geez!

Well, I'm so glad MTV plays videos during the day. When NOBODY can watch them. If that's true (them playing videos at all that is).

And OJasonleeO, don't feel too bad you don't have MTV2. I do, and it's mostly crap these days too. True, they play only videos, but it's 80% rap. Plus, they hardly had any commercials a few years ago. Lately, they are adding more and more. At least they have '120 Minutes'. The ONLY place to catch bands I like.

What did Daria ever do to you? And Flipped is a good show. Granted, it's pretty much "Freaky Friday" revisited, but there are worse shows than Flipped and Daria.

I like the VMAs and TRL and anytime they show that remotely involves Britney Spears

You have to understand that MTV appeals to teenagers mostly. I am 18 myself and enjoy MTV. Sure I hate the Real World also, but lots of people like it. I don't like the Boy Bands, but just think of the viewers they get with specials like that? It is called money and it is what makes the world go around - like it or not. If you don't like MTV then don't watch it. You probably liked MTV when you were 13 , etc. Maybe you started hating it when you got more towards 20. Who knows. It seems to be that there business is still booming so they are doing something right

As far as MTV2 is concerned, that one sucks the big one even more than MTV in my opinion. I NEVER put that channel on.

The only ever good channel I think of music there ever was was the BOX. Call in, pay $1.99 and they play your video. Too bad it was bought out and made into MTV2.

Oh well.

When MTV started back in 1981, they ONLY showed MUSIC VIDEOS! Then they started adding game shows and now have a whole bunch of crap that has NOTHING to do with MUSIC! I want the real MTV back, when you could turn it on any time and see videos!

Apparently, there aren't enough of us (viewers who actually want to hear music and see videos) or MTV wouldn't air all these non-music related programming. I remember in the 80's when the reason I wanted cable was to get MTV. Innovative videos back then. Now, I have cable and could live without MTV.

see, at leats when jesse camp was around we had the afternoon metal show, which was an hour of pure heavy metal music videos!!
granted, jesse was the most annoying vj ever, but we had good afternoon videos!! (until his video came out and crapped things up)!!!

In the last couple of days she started a lot of threads that were dupes in Other; which has been happening a lot since news and postings are flying in there, so they got locked just like all the other dupes popping up. She seemed to dislike having her threads locked as much as she disliked posting in the same topic threads that had already been started, and posted this thread:

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...42#post1479842

I would bet that led to her banning, but I'm sure there was more 'behind the scenes' emails about it that we don't know about that contributed.
