So, I'm going to upgrade to Digital cable....

now, what I'd like to know is
A. FX will be showing Buffy The Vampire Slayer, yes? If they are will they show the show from episode one on to the most recent(ie, the finale just shown on WB), or will they just show the "best" episodes again, and again, and again. I have never watched the show but would like to only if I can watch it in sequential (sp?) order.
B. Starz, Encore, and all those other movie channels. Do they show the movie uncensored? Or, do they bleep out the "naughty" words and censor the T&A?
C. What's BBC America like?

Thinks that's all I need to know. Thanks in advance.

I can't answer A, and you have an answer to B, so I'll take a crack at C . . .

BBC America shows BBC programs . . . comedies, dramas, a great music show called "Late Night with Jules Holland", some talk, BBC News, etc. It's one of three reasons that I have digital cable (the other two being TechTV and IFC).

Thanks!
You don't happen to know if BBC America shows English League Soccer, do you? I think the soccer season is starting(or, has just started).

I'm almost positive that FX is showing Buffy starting at episode 1 in sequential order (same for the Ally McBeal reruns).

A good tvguide to get?

Thanks for the replies.
I'll be getting the upgrade next Tuesday.
Does anyone know a good tv guide to get other than tvguide, of course. Is there a guide that shows all the channels(all the HBO's, Skinemax's, Encore, and Starz channels as well as BBC America). Text, or online would be nice.
What guide do you use to find out what's on?
Thanks in advance

Digital Cable usually has a great on-screen programming guide/menu.

I would highly suggest getting a ReplayTV or Tivo to use with your digital cable. You will find you have so many channels and things you want to watch it is a truly invaluable thing to be able to manage your TV with.

I also highly recommend BBC America. I am addicted to two shows: Changing Rooms and Ground Force. Changing Rooms lets two neighbors switch houses and re-decorate. Ground Force surprises people when they are away with a new garden. Very fun shows!

Can the on screen guide/menu tell you a couple of days in advance what shows will be on?
The reason I ask is because I work 3-11 and I'd like to know what will be coming on so I can set my VCR
As for TIVO, or REPLAY that's a longgggg ways off for me. Simply cannot afford it.

Mine I can scroll a few days ahead. I don't use it much anymore since I like the ReplayTv channel guide better and it goes a week ahead

The onscreen guide is nice though, if you haven't had it before. Never again will you find yourself watching a movie and not know what it's called. At the touch of a button you can see the name, year it came out, stars, etc. Very cool.
