Does anyone know if this "lost gem" written and directed by Ben Stiller and starring the ass-kicking Jack Black is available on-line anywhere? Or does anyone have a copy to trade? I need to see this show.

thanks,

Joel

Just a head's up for anyone who mught be following this thread. The (awesome) pilot is available for download at http://www.fugitivealien.com
This is one of the funniest, most kick-ass shows I've ever seen. (And it even has a bitchy little intro from Ben Stiller hisself.)
Check it out.

I loved the pilot myself - but I can't really fault a network for not picking it up. It really is way too strange and fringe for even a network like Fox - maybe comedy central, but still, there are too few people with the type of sense of humor that would enjoy this show.

"Knowledge is power...For real." This show was pretty funny.

On a somewhat similar note, anyone know where to get Bob Odenkirk's unaired pilot? The name of it escapes me at the moment. Just wondered if it was as available as "Heat Vision."

Small quibble with the original (two year old) post - Ben Stiller may have a writing credit (I'm not sure one way or the other), but the show was written by Dan Harmon and Rob Schrab.

I did love Stiller's intro: "As a person you admire, I'm giving you permission to appreciate this show."

It's pretty incredible that even with all of the people involved, the show wouldn't get picked up. The show might not be everyone's ball of wax, but the pilot was really good. I've certainly seen less likely shows on the air.

Next!

also can be found on kazaa.

As for fox not picking it up, since i thought the show was great i can't see eye to eye with fox on this one. they could atleast tried to go with it, i thought fox at one point wanted to be different than the other networks and more hip and willing to take some chances. they would atleast got some good street cred if they had tried it and let the viewing audenice decide.
