That's tough. I'm a game show junkie (although the more recent entries, Millionaire and Weakest Link aren't very exciting).
I like Match Game, $ale of the Century, Jeopardy, and Card Sharks, but my favorite is probably The Price is Right.

I love these same exact shows. I think Match Game and Price is Right are the all-time best. I also loved Press Your Luck (c'mon Game Show Network - add it to your lineup)

I like The $25,000 Pyramid.
I think Billy Crystal holds the record for reaching the pyramid top in the fastest amount of time.
"A rope....a shoestring....a ribbon..."
"Things you tie?"
YES!!! YES!!!

I remember that - it took 2 episodes to actually complete it.

About that famous PRESS YOUR LUCK episode, where the guy memorized the light patterns and won 10,000??
I remember watching that on TV in 1984 and that they had to broadcast the entire episode in TWO parts, not just one.
I remember that as being very odd.

For my favorite game show, I'd probably say the various incarnations of Nickelodeon's Double Dare (I was a kid when they were on). I also liked Press Your Luck.

Wow, I've watched a decent amount of Press your Luck but never heard of this. I wonder how long the light sequences are anyway. Not sure if I'd call this my favorite game show of all time but it's certainly very near the top

The guy watched the show, discovered the pattern, and memorized it. After he was on the show, they randomized the sequence (and I think they capped the prize) to prevent it from happening again.

Anyone catch the Treasure Hunt marathon that GSN showed last weekend? Funny stuff. I wouldn't mind if GSN added most of bigjims list to their rotation. My favs:
Card Sharks
Family Fued (Richard Dawson rules)
Supermarket Sweep
Super Password
High Rollers
Match Game (stuff is still funny after all these years)
Sale of the Century
Price is Right
Newleywed Game
Stuff they need to take OFF GSN:
New 3's a Crowd
DJ Games
Body Language

Is it me or does not Treasure Hunt totally rip off Let's Make a Deal. I have to think that they were made by the same people because I would think that the producers of LMAD would sue the Treasure Hunt producers.
