I like Name That Tune
|
That's tough. I'm a game show junkie (although the more recent entries, Millionaire and Weakest Link aren't very exciting).
I like Match Game, $ale of the Century, Jeopardy, and Card Sharks, but my favorite is probably The Price is Right. |

I think Match Game and Price is Right are the all-time best. I also loved Press Your Luck (c'mon Game Show Network - add it to your lineup) |

WOW... I just checked out that site I got the Whammy pic from and read this
http://meltingpot.fortunecity.com/harrow/953/larsen.htm about a contestant who memorized all the light patterns and won over $100,000!!! |
I like The $25,000 Pyramid.
I think Billy Crystal holds the record for reaching the pyramid top in the fastest amount of time. "A rope....a shoestring....a ribbon..." "Things you tie?" YES!!! YES!!! |

I remember that - it took 2 episodes to actually complete it. |
About that famous PRESS YOUR LUCK episode, where the guy memorized the light patterns and won 10,000??
I remember watching that on TV in 1984 and that they had to broadcast the entire episode in TWO parts, not just one. I remember that as being very odd. |
I always had a fondness for the Squares.
|
The Price is Right will always be my favorite. I always wanted to get on the show and play "Plinko".

the price is right!! awww yeah, back in the day when i was "sick" from school, and stayed at home watching teh price is right. nice.
|
Remote Control on MTV was really cool too!
The only thing is, that is when MTV started airing programs instead of videos. So it is a semi-sweet memory. |
I used to like Let's Make a Deal. I still catch it every once in a while on the GameShow Network.

The guy watched the show, discovered the pattern, and memorized it. After he was on the show, they randomized the sequence (and I think they capped the prize) to prevent it from happening again. |

Originally posted by spoon81 Anyone catch the Treasure Hunt marathon that GSN showed last weekend? Funny stuff. Is it me or does not Treasure Hunt totally rip off Let's Make a Deal. I have to think that they were made by the same people because I would think that the producers of LMAD would sue the Treasure Hunt producers. |
