Simpsons - probably another couple seasons
Friends - Next season is its last, especially if they have a break out hit they can plug in its slot.
The Late Show (Letterman) - As clark said, until Letterman is hurt bad.
Buffy - If it moves of the WB, one more year, if not two
Angel - If Buffy moves of the WB, then one more year, if not three (the season after Buffy goes off the air)
X Files - this shows still on? Okay, one more season
Just Shoot Me - renewed till 2003. I'd say till 2004
Bold and the Beautiful - as long as there are people at home during the day

Simpsons will last a very long time, as long as the kids today become interested (which they will), and those who watch it stay watching it..
I think Bart and Lisa should maybe move up a grade, it really wouldn't hurt!

The Simpsons I'm thinkng a bit longer. They're still pretty popular.
Buffy - two more sesaons
Angel - three or four
X-Files should end this year. It's time is done.
I don't watch the others so I have no comment.

I am curious about Law & Order. It is in its 11th season with no signs of slowing down. I think NBC has it under contract through the 2005-6 season. The exec producer said that he thinks the show can break Gunsmoke's record for the longest running drama in TV history.

They've long since proved that they can weather a cast change ever year or so. (I used to love this show....um, I'm sorry, I don't watch anymore, Once and Again is in the same slot....and its never been the same since Claire Kincaid died and Mike Logan left...IMO)

Airing, who know. Making fresh episodes....
a) Simpsons
2002 (spin-off potential)
b) Friends
2002 (spin-off potential, but would limit any of the original cast taking the bait so probably wouldn't happen)
c) The Late Show (Letterman)
?
d) Buffy
2002
e) Angel
2002/3 (some third spin-off?)
f) X Files
2002 (any spin-off would be shortlived)
g) Just Shoot Me
?
h) Bold and the Beautiful
?
Neighbours
2099

My prediction for the last episode of FRIENDS:
Once Chandler and Monica finally get hitched,
then you'll see Joey and Phoebe get romantically involved,
followed by the inevitable nuptuals by Ross and Rachel.
Then for the reunion show, they all come back for the marriage of Joey and Phoebes.

a) Simpsons - As soon as the contract is up, I bet it goes off the air -- this is one of my favorite television shows of all time, but I would rather it go off the air at a high-point, (a la Cheers) rather than in a slump (a la Dallas)
b) Friends - Next season should be the last, at this point they've all hit 30 and with Monica being preggers (SPOILER: Chandler is running out on the wedding when he finds out she's pregnant) the show is going to go places it does not need to go.
c) The Late Show (Letterman)- Until he sustains a Carson-like popularity, and can retire with same sort of fanfare.
d) Buffy - If it goes to Fox, I don't think they will let it last, because the dimmer ratings will not stand on a higher network.
e) Angel - Without Buffy as a lead-in, it's gone.
f) X Files - I hope it ends this season. The show is too good to get tired.
g) Just Shoot Me - I project them to renew it once more after this curren contract ends.
h) Bold and the Beautiful - I LOVE this show, it's the number one soap in the world! It'll be another Guiding Light.
