Re: NFL Plus streaming service

I updated my Roku app and now it has NFL plus and I signed in.

As I said earlier, the plus content is light. The documentaries are missing a bunch of episodes. And they don’t have everything NFL Films related. I assume this is still a work in progress and will hopefully improve when the season starts. But hey it’s free for me and now Decker.

on the plus side, the documentaries and news shows are now commercial free as opposed to Game pass, which had ads.

I'm sorry, 80 bucks a year? I know that doesn't seem like much on a per month basis but man. The 30 dollar a year tier, which only loses you replays and coaches film, seems like a better deal.

Last year that service alone was $100/yr. The streaming live local games was free.
The edited 45 minute games were pretty cool to watch later.

The NFL is significantly expanding its direct-to-consumer footprint, adding NFL Network and the NFL RedZone channels to its NFL+ subscription offering.

NFL Network will be added to the base tier of NFL+, which will see its monthly price rise from $4.99 per month to $6.99 per month. RedZone, meanwhile, will be available on a premium tier that also includes full and condensed game replays and other content for $14.99 per month.

Re: NFL Plus streaming service

If it was cheaper than the YouTube TV RedZone tier, I would have signed up for it, but I can get RedZone for $10.99 a month via YouTube TV.

Re: NFL Plus streaming service

There is more to it

NFL Network airs both pre-season games, and has some exclusive games during the season. Those games will now be available directly from the league to consumers.

Notably, NFL Network and RedZone will be available across all devices, and not limited to mobile devices like the live games. The channels will continue to be available via pay-TV providers as well. With the move, NFL Network becomes the biggest sports cable channel to be available directly to consumers outside of a pay-TV bundle.

I work at NFL part-time and they announced that they are devoting more resources and attention to DTC and FAST content and less to linear. But, they still will have a linear presence.

I guess NFL+ now comes with Red Zone?

Waiting to see if I get it free from the Raiders again...

Re: NFL Plus streaming service

Hoping the NFL will give me another free subscription this season and hoping it’s the premium edition. That would be awesome to get Red Zone for free.

Re: NFL Plus streaming service

How much is it with all of the replays and without the Redzone Channel?

I wish it would have more expanded NFL Films library than the predictable stuff they usually show.

I have DirecTV Sports Pack already and the Red Zone Channel is included with it.

Doesn't look like that exists. But getting NFL+ games and content, Red Zone and replays and condensed games for $79.99 for the season sure seems like a good deal compared to Sunday Ticket on You Tube.

I'm trying to save to get Sunday Ticket at the last second before the price goes up next month.

I would have saved earlier if I had known they were allowing unlimited streaming.

I still will probably get NFL + but not until the regular season starts(if I can afford it).

Re: NFL Plus streaming service

I just subscribed to premium a few weeks ago... the NFL Red Zone addition is great news, as I thought I would have to pay for that separately via cable. Red Zone costs me $10 a month/$40 a season, so my NFL+ annual price now seems like more of a deal.

Re: NFL Plus streaming service

Got my free NFL+ Premium account from work. They gave me a card with a coupon code and I just applied it to my account. My subscription from the 2022 season doesn't expire until 9/10 when the new season starts. So I assume that's when the new coupon will kick in.

At least I'll now have free access to NFL Red Zone on Sundays.

Re: NFL Plus streaming service

Apparently the league is still waiting to decide whether they will give the service to every league Season ticket holder like they have in the past. I just have to wait and see, apparently.

For the money you spent, it should be an extra perk.

It always has been (always being three seasons so far).
But apparently it's the same for every NFL season ticket holder, most of whom never paid a PSL fee.

Well this year instead of getting the two free services (NFL+ Premium and NFL Red Zone), the NFL combined those and gave season ticket holders... an additional $20 discount! Thanks NFL!!!!

Re: NFL Plus streaming service

That was a pretty lame deal for season ticket holders, but I grit my teeth and paid the $60. Red Zone should be enough for me, combined with the replays and the ability to stream locally broadcast games to my phone. It appears that I can stream Red Zone and the NFL Network to my consoles and streaming devices, just not the locally broadcast full games.
I will miss some of the Sunday Ticket flexibility-- I was interested in watching some Anthony Richardson and am unlikely to see much on Red Zone, but for the most part, it serves well enough. And those afternoon games are always better to watch on Red Zone

Red Zone loaded up perfectly on NFL Plus. No issues.

Wait a minute, NFL doesn't have an app on either the PS5 or the Xbox? Seriously?

There is an app on my Xbox series X. I would check again, as it should be on there. I watched the Red Zone channel on it and it worked perfectly.

I looked again. There’s an NFL app for 2022 with a rating. I launch it and it’s just a white screen. A website says there’s an NFL+ app for the Xbox, but I searched and none came up.

I rebooted the Xbox and now the NFL app is working. Thanks for the suggestion.
