Don't see how it's viable. They need those broadcast deals. If they just run the international games on there or like one a week it's just not enough content. We all know their price point would be outrageous. If the plan is to do Sunday Ticket on NFL+ once the DTV deal dies then maybe. But depends on the price point and options. They would likely charge $500 a season for Sunday Ticket. Why? Because they can. And because the other suitors ' bids are already so high they would make more money just signing that off to Amazon Prime or Apple+.

You give me Redzone & all my team's games for like $100 or $150 tho I am a first day buyer.

Hey I work there. It's not going away. This is all about finding avenues to get more premium football content out there. This service is likely at least a year away from coming to fruition.

I'm not sure how enticing it will be for people to sign up if the league is to offer the Sunday Ticket Package plus RedZone for $150 per year (let's say) when here in Canada, DAZN with an agreement with the NFL, offers ST plus RedZone along with their other licensing sports (Soccer, baseball, boxing) agreement for the same price.

I'd be very interested in that package for that price. I don't care what they offer in Canada for what price. There is far more interest in the NFL in the United States.

I’d pay $5 to $8 a month for Redzone during football season if they ever offer it.

If there were no blackouts it'd probably be pretty popular for those who cut the cord (or want to really badly) but yeah I think the networks would be ticked off. And seeing how the NBA offering is, there'd probably be regional blackouts.

It's probably much cheaper to get the NFL package in Columbia or Costa Rica or India. Do you care about that? Will that have any bearing on your future purchases?

I have some bad news for you about that price point... lol. Redzone stand alone is already $99 for the season currently. Some non-DTV providers offer it. Fairly sure DISH has Redzone but it's the knock off one with Scott Hanson and not the DTV Andrew Siciliano version. But aint no way they are gonna drop it down to what equates to $40 for the season when it's already $100.

And my pitch for all of one team's games and Redzone is way low too after thinking about it. Redzone is already $100 by it's self so looking at AT LEAST $200 a season if they do a package like that for just one team's games. But more than likely $300ish. I'd still prefer that to $500 or $600 for every game.

And yeah this has zero effect on NFL Network. NFL Network is less about a channel to show games and more about a channel for round the clock news coverage for the league. Not too different than the 24 hour cable news channels. They do put a game a week on there, but the purpose is to steal away coverage from ESPN & what not, and get a piece of that sweet ad revenue floating around out there.

You can get it as part of package from Spectrum cable tv for $5 a month, but I cut the cord and was paying $12 a month for it as part of a package on YouTubeTV. If they would offer it standalone cheaper than what I was paying YouTubeTV, I would buy it from them. BTW the Scott Hansen version is the best version.

Is this going to have all of the NFL game replay's or will they continue to milk the fans out of their money for their continued NFL Game Pass separate service(which has replays and radio broadcasts)?

Not too crazy about team content because that's been overkilled on NFL Network,ESPN,etc.

I would be all for a more complete NFL Films video library( a lot can be found on YouTube).

I'm not sure an NFL+ streaming service would be viable with only old games, NFL films documentaries, Podcast and news content. I think many are stretched pretty thin on streaming services already.

There needs to be some kind of "hook" to it that will get people to say I need that.

I don't see how this one works. They're not going to move games here and what else could they offer that people would pay to see? The draft? The combine? Live training camps? I mean there's cool stuff they could offer, but I can't see people paying for it unless it's really cheap (like say, the $2.99 a month that CNN+ launched with).

I haven't had a cable carrier in years. I get my football via OTA local channels. Main problem is when the weather is crappy, reception can be affected. Depending on how it will work, $5/month isn't a bad price point.

So I learned from work this is officially launching on Monday (7/25) But no word yet on what content exactly is on it and how much it is. They did an internal demo at the office yesterday, which I wasn't there for.

If you have a cable service, will you still be able to stream the games through the NFL app like last year or will you now need this service to do that even if you paid for cable?
And I assume you can still stream CBS games on Paramount and NBC games on Peacock?

I haven't seen a single promo or commercial for it and it launches in less than 1 week. Or at least that's what management says from the email I read.

With baseball season in full swing - so to speak, I’m really surprised they’re doing this right now. I know pre-season is upon us, but having NO mention of this anywhere isn’t a good sign. I wonder if this will be CNN+ Part 2.
