What new streaming service will you consider subscribing to in 2019?
These are the only ones that are known to coming out in 2019
Disney +
WarnerMedia
The Criterion Channel
Apple (no details yet on how the content is being distributed. If it's a pay per month thing or if it's only for Apple TV users). So I'm not putting it on the poll.
For me, Disney + for sure.
WarnerMedia will be a wait and see.
I'm not enough of a Criterion fan to subscribe to it's channel.

There is a lot of Criterion material that I haven't had a chance to see, which doesn't tend to be available elsewhere. Of course, other than their physical media, which is not the best material to blind buy, given it's price. This way I can watch it, and if I really like it, I'll buy it.

Disney + is the only one I'll consider this year, provided they'll have enough material right out of the gate. My guess is they will. Maybe WarnerMedia in a few years once (and IF) they get their act together. I have enough Criterion blu's that I've been slowly going through, I'm not sure what the streaming service will offer that I don't already have, or want.

WarnerMedia depending on if it fucks with things on DC Universe.
Criterion sounds cool. I miss having access to some of their shit on Hulu. But who knows...
Of course my bank account may answer the question for me.

If Disney+ becomes the new Star Wars channel, I'll sell plasma each month if that's what it takes to afford it.
I may finally bite the bullet on CBS All Access if they do the same with Star Trek.

Yeah, if WarnerMedia goes down this road and trudge up stuff like this, I know I'll be saving myself some money. Zero need for this.

‘Gremlins’ Animated Series in the Works at WarnerMedia Streaming Service (EXCLUSIVE)
A “Gremlins” animated series is in development at WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service, Variety has learned exclusively from sources.
The potential series is said to be a period piece that would follow Mr. Wing, the Chinese grandfather played in the films by Keye Luke, as a young man as he goes on adventures with the friendly Mogwai Gizmo. The series will be produced by Warner Bros. Television and Amblin Television. Both Warner Bros. and Amblin produced the films on which the show will be based.
Warner Bros. and Amblin declined to comment.
Tze Chun is attached to write and executive produce. He is known for writing and directing films like 2013’s “Cold Comes the Night” starring Bryan Cranston and 2009’s “Children of Invention. Chun’s TV credits include shows like “Gotham” and “Once Upon a Time.” He is also the co-founder of comic book publisher TKO Studios.
Chun is repped by WME and Morris Yorn.
The first “Gremlins” film was released in 1984. Directed by Joe Dante and written by Chris Columbus, the film was a major box office success. It went on to gross over $153 million worldwide on a reported budget of $11 million. A sequel, “Gremlins 2: The New Batch,” was released in 1990 with Dante returning to direct.
News of the development comes as WarnerMedia prepares to enter the streaming space with its yet-to-be-named streaming platform. Kevin Reilly, the chief creative officer Turner and direct-to-consumer, said at the recent TCA winter press tour that a beta version of the service will not feature original content, with originals expected to begin launching in 2020. He said that WarnerMedia will be looking to mine in-house properties–like “Gremlins”–to generate new content for the service but that not all originals would be based on WarnerMedia IP.
Reilly also hinted that major Warner properties like “Friends” would eventually be pulled from other streaming services like Netflix in favor of having them exclusively on Warner OTT. “You can expect that the crown jewels of Warner will ultimately end up on the new service,” he said, adding that “sharing destination assets like that… (is) not a good model.”

Re: What new streaming service will you consider subscribing to in 2019?
I'll consider all of them.
After getting my last paper satellite bill, I realized I could subscribe to pretty much everything for less than DTV.
Disney for Disney and Pixar, lower down Marvel, then Star Wars.
I know nothing about Warner, but I'll check them out. Especially if they take a lot of DCUniverse's stuff.
Not Apple because I hate Apple.
Probably not Criterion because not sure if there'd be enough content.
I'll probably drop DCU when my year ends if their content remains like it is. I really like a couple of shows but maybe I'd just sub for a month and binge, there's not enough stuff on there yet.

I'm definitely in on Disney+.
I don't know enough about WarnerMedia's content or price. But I'm interested to check it out.
Criterion is too expensive and I'm not a big arthouse/international fan.

Not if you prepay for the year. You'd also be getting an extra month and the early access they've got going on right now.

If the Disney service was available in Canada, it will be an easy choice to subscribe.
I used to like Criterion movies when it was bundled with Hulu as it was a great deal. I’m not sure that I watch enough of their movies for the stand alone service.

All of them. Why not? I pay more for less with premium cable, so this makes it easier to cut the cord. Also keeping Netflix, Hulu, DC Universe, and CBS. I like having all the options.

None. No interest in Disney+ because I own all Star Wars and Marvel movies. Plus I own a shit ton of catalog movies. With Criterion, I'll buy those I'm interested in.

It's not just Star Wars and Marvel movies and Disney catalog stuff. They have multiple Star Wars and MCU spinoff shows coming. The Mandalorian is airing later this year most likely close to or shortly after the time of launch. Unless you simply don't care about the TV projects either.

Disney+ for a month to watch the new Star Wars series and probably a few other things. Will cancel once I'm done.
CBS All Access for the Twilight Zone. Again, will cancel once it's finished.

I'm taking the Wait/See approach with Disney +
I already subscribe to a ton of shit already that it feels like I'm back on cable.
Hell.. my fucking dogs watch their own channel.

Depending on price and content, Disney +. I'm not really interested in paying for another service if that doesn't work out. We already have Netflix and the WWE Network.

Don't have kids and I only casually like the Comic Book movie so Disney has no interest for me.Warner and Criterion will wait and see on Pricepoint and content.
For the most part I pay the yearly rate for Amazon Prime, then with other streaming services I pick and choose depending on what show they have I will want to binge on.Netflix for example is priced reasonably but their lack of movie content makes it something I subscribe maybe 2-3 months out of the year based on certain shows.

I'll be a Day One subscriber to Disney. I'm taking a "wait and see" on Warners - just because I don't trust them after DC Universe.

That, Titans, and the Timmverse animation make it worth $5-8 a month for me.

I'm anxious on what Criterion will have to offer. I skipped the flash sale from a day or so ago, because I want to allocate funds towards the membership instead of buying individual titles.
