Well, no way Comcast (with their upcoming Peacock app) makes a deal with AT&T. I'm guessing Verizon isn't interested in teaming with AT&T either.

This pertains to those who get hbo through their art mobile plan.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service launches May 2020

“There are also changes in which video services come bundled with unlimited plans. Both of AT&T's current unlimited plans come with AT&T's WatchTV service, which has 35 channels of live TV. Unlimited & More Premium also lets customers choose one of the following services: HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, Pandora Premium, Spotify Premium, and VRV.

The new unlimited plans will not include WatchTV and will not give customers a choice of entertainment services. However, Unlimited Elite will include HBO and HBO Max when it is released in May 2020“

I have hbo on the 22 unlimited and have never heard of WatchTV.

AT&T changed their unlimited plans over a year ago, and changed the bonus on the new plans to WatchTV:
https://arstechnica.com/information-...g-time-warner/
But AT&T revamped its two unlimited mobile plans this week, and in the process it raised the price for the entry-level plan by $5 a month while removing the free HBO perk. The entry-level unlimited plan now starts at $70 instead of $65.

Existing customers can keep their old plan and the free HBO, but new customers or those who switch plans will have to buy the more expensive unlimited plan to get HBO at no added cost.

AT&T did add some video options to both plans, however. Both unlimited plans get AT&T's new "WatchTV" streaming service that comes with more than 30 channels, and buyers of the more expensive unlimited plan can choose to get HBO or another premium add-on.

While "HBO is no longer included on the lower-priced plan," "customers who remain on their existing plan won't see any change and will keep the HBO benefit for as long as they remain on their current plan," AT&T told Ars.
AT&T is changing their unlimited plans again starting tomorrow:

A Last of the Mohicans TV series is in development at HBO Max

https://deadline.com/2020/01/the-las...ax-1202824705/

Cary Fukunaga, the director of the new Bond movie, is working on it and co-writing it.

Since this is only in development and may not happen, just posting it here.

So I missed this a few months ago. Does this mean that if you have HBO grandfathered in with at&T unlimited, you won't get upgraded to Max?

The Harry Potter movies will not be on HBO Max at launch.

Apparently they are licensed out to NBC-Universal until 2025.

No loss. Outside of Banshee and Strike Back, their original programming has all been misses as far as I am concerned.

Was to be a documentary though not exactly a reunion show.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service launches May 2020

Weird that there still isn't a launch date announced yet. Next month is pretty soon. The site does confirm that if you subscribe to HBO Now directly through HBO (a subscription paid for with Gift cards counts) you will automatically get HBO Max upgrade when it launches.

Yeah, and you'd think they'd try to launch as early as they can to take advantage of the current stay-at-home situation.

Friends Reunion special on hold again. They can’t shoot it due to the current situation.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service launches May 2020

I'm also surprised that this is now approaching mid-April and AT&T has not announced a firm launch date yet. We don't know if this is launching in early May, mid May or the end of May.

Hurry the hell up AT&T.

The current stay-at-home situation may be why they're not able to nail down an exact date, if they're having to adjust to trying to launch a new service while most of their workforce is working from home.

I watched the first episodes of Warrior and Jett and liked them enough to watch more. I was hoping they’d be on HBO Max but I might have to just buy them.

^I really enjoyed the first season of Warrior. I was hoping when Cinemax ended their scripted programming it would get picked up by someone else. HBO Max seemed to be a good fit. Guess not.

Man that launch line up sounds shitty. Good thing this service isn't costing me anything more than I already pay.

The new and original content lineup is likely going to be a slow roll out due to the production shutdown In Hollywood.

So the strength for this will be the catalogue content of movies and TV shows in the WB library along with other entities owned by them they manage to get out.
