I’d like to see Person of Interest, and I also saw they added Pushing Daisies, which I started but got distracted from for some reason.

Dammit! Where's the list of shows coming and going? I went to watch Ocean's 11 (1960) for the 3rd or 4th time in as many weeks last night and it was gone.

Like most services, they don't really give you a comprehensive list but they do have a "Just Added" and "Last Chance" section in the menus. Most of the stuff licensed for the HBO channel itself rotates out at the end of the month.

Judas and the Black Messiah and the new Tom and Jerry movie are the next 2 big movies being posted on HBO Max and theatres. Neither IMO are going to draw that much attention here.

It was previously on Netflix for the last 5 plus years. Surprised it not even crossed your mind to check out.

Now that it's on HBO Max, I absolutely think you should check it out.

That made it a good binge show because when you finish one episode you want to watch another right away to find out what happens next.

thanks Guys never synced up with this show for some reason. Plan to add it to the rotation

The entire director's cuts of the Saw collection minus Jigsaw are on HBO Max.

I started watching the 1st Saw last night, which I hadn't seen in at least 12-13 years.

Noticed a minor bug on HBO Max.

If you stream an alternate cut of a movie, which is an extra, the movie will not pick up where you left off in case you have to stop.

It's happened to me a few times already. I tried to stream the director's cut of Saw II and stopped after 30 minutes and when I tried to resume, it started all over again. Same with when I tried the director's cut of Saw III. I guess it's because it's not the main feature?

Trying adding the alternate cut to your watch list. It doesn't stay in the continue watching section, but it should hold the position in the watch list.

What app were you using? On Android TV, I did this just last week with Doctor Sleep Director's Cut and I'm 99% certain it picked up where I left off. I initiated the second session directly from the extra features->director's cut selection, not from the main feature selection. The only oddity was that it didn't show up in my "Continue Watching" section.

The CW In Talks With HBO Max To Co-Finance Original Shows

The CW is reportedly in talks with HBO Max to co-finance some original shows this summer.

When the first trailer for Superman and Lois hit, many were shocked by the high production value that was more in line with the DC Universe shows than what we’ve typically seen on The CW. Now that HBO Max has become the streaming home of The CWverse along with all the other shows from the network, it sounds like The CW is looking to up the budget.

Deadline reports that The CW is in talks with HBO Max to co-finance original shows for this summer. The deal would allow episodes to premiere on The CW and be available on HBO Max the next day. It’s unclear if this deal will affect any of the current DC shows on The CW, or if it’s referring to a brand-new series that hasn’t been announced yet.

But I love DC so if this ups the production values on stuff like Superman and Lois, I'm all for it.

I'm confused because I've seen it written both ways. This article says "CW then HBOMax" but there's a Group I'm in where the Creator has been accurately breaking DC/CW TV stuff and he said it would be "HBOMax then CW" like Stargirl...

I wonder if this includes the three new pilots CW just picked up: Naomi (based on the DC property), Powerpuff Girls and a reboot of the 4400 (which doesn't even seem that old to me)

"Adult animated Velma series" is an odd way to word that, unless this is a Harley Quinn-like reimagining or something.

So just to follow up on this issue with viewing alternate cuts of movies on HBO Max's Roku app, I still have the same issue.

I started the director's cut of Saw IV last night. Stopped after 15 minutes and went back and it just started all over again. The theatrical cut will pick up where it left off. I did add the director's cut to my Watch List, but it made no difference.

In addition to the aforementioned Change-Up, I did just add add the Chronicles of Riddick Director's Cut to "My List" and watched about half of it. It held my place in the movie in both my Android and Roku app.

I'm ok with people saying they want a particular show; at least he's not claiming he doesn't understand why it's not on there anymore. To be honest, I'd like it on there too; I haven't seen it in decades, and I remember it being a funny show.

It’s not even owned by HBO/Warners since it was not an HBO Production. Universal had home distribution for the DVDs. That likely lapsed. It has equal chance of showing up on any streamer if it ever were to, not just this one.

Re: HBO Max — Warnermedia streaming service launches May 2020

Does anyone else use the PS4 for HBO Max? And if so ... what's the current status of audio formats? It may not be everything, but many things I try to watch sounds like they're only 2.0 stereo or mono (despite being listed at 5.1 or Dolby Atmos). Internet searching shows that audio format support has been spotty, but it's unclear what the current status is supposed to be (or if there's any progress that's supposed to be made).

And if the PS4 app sucks, is there one better? Though I don't have any other streaming device (like Roku, Amazon Firestick, smart TV) at the moment. I have a good home theater set-up, so not being able to get at least 5.1 audio is kind of a deal killer for me for this service.

Sorry if this is something talked about earlier in this thread (a search didn't show anything helpful for me).

I hate the PS4 HBO Max app. It constantly crashes on me. Is the app any better on the PS5? I would get a Roku for my bedroom, but I only have two HDMI ports and I have both filled one with my cable box and one on a HDMI switch with my PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
