With D+ going up, is there a way to lock in a good price if you're on the prepaid 3 year? Or best not to worry about it yet, since there's still a year and a half.

Soul was good, that was the last movie we watched on D+.
I think after the 3 year deal ends next year, we will likely have to go with 1 year discounted promos.

Having the more "mature" films and TV shows is great but the integration in the Disney+ app needs improvement as I would like to have the two sections separate. Once you migrate the sections, if you click on Movies or TV shows, it just combines all of the content into one. Having "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" besides "28 Days Later" is a bit jarring.

I wonder if you can just create a kids profile(though that may filter out too much).

They have Hill Street Blues streaming on Star so I'm waiting to see when the other MTM series will be released:
  • The Mary Tyler Moore Show
  • The Bob Newhart Show
  • Newhart
  • Rhoda
  • WKRP in Cincinnati
  • Lou Grant
  • The White Shadow
  • St. Elsewhere
  • Remington Steele

Yes, warnings of any kind are rarely skippable, even on physical media, so this isn't really surprising at all.

Re: Disney+ streaming service

I've just been going through all the content on Star, this really beefs things up for Disney+ (where Hulu is not available), between this and all the new Marvel/Star Wars shows, they will really be giving Netflix a run for their money way beyond kids' content.

Oh man, I hope so, I'd love to see some of these. I'm guessing that as previous exclusive streaming licenses start to expire, more content will move to Star.

Re: Disney+ streaming service

The Star addition to Disney+ puts them on equal footing or better with Netflix here in Canada. Currently, Desperate Housewives and Lost are on Prime Video Canada but I'm sure that they will be coming over as soon as their licensing agreement is over. Ugly Betty and Revenge for example were on Prime Video Canada and now is streaming on Star.

My want is for Star to start adding a pre-1970's Film section as currently only 3 films (My Cousin Rachel (1952), Cleopatra (1963) and Planet of the Apes (1968)) are before 1970. The number of Classic films they own from the Fox library is criminal to just hold it in a vault.

Forgive If I've asked this before or if it's been discussed but has anyone used GroupWatch on Disney+?

I could've sworn they were adamant about not releasing Black Widow like this.

They were adamant that it would be released in theatres. It still is, with the option of Premier. It’s a compromise. They can’t keep sitting on it.

Agreed, they couldn't sit on this forever, all the upcoming movies getting backed up in the pipeline will screw with their carefully structured schedule of movies and Disney+ Marvel shows. They've already had to shuffle stuff around as it is. I'll happily pay the 30 bucks to watch this.

👎 Why? Hold out and it will force them to start dropping the price to something more reasonable. Even Pay-per-view used to only charged a few dollars for a new release.

Not me. It will be included in the regular tier in a couple months anyway.

Re: Disney+ streaming service

Stilling enjoying my 3-year Disney+ subscription, which doesn’t expire until Thanksgiving of 2022. We aren’t jumping on the Premiere selections (I’ll see Black Widow in the theater, thank you), but as long as they keep dropping content like WandaVision, Falcon/Winter Soldier, Mandalorian and other Star Wars spin-offs, Mighty Ducks, Disenchantment (Amy Adams), etc, I’d be happy to pay for another 3 year go round.

I assume at some point this year all 7 seasons of Agents of Shield will move to Disney + It's still on Netflix here in the States, but I know in some other regions it's already on D+
