Re: Disney+ streaming service
I just got a brand new UHD Samsung Smart TV. It has lots of apps but doesn't seem to have any way to download Disney +. How is that even possible? They offer "Disney Now" whatever that is.

You may need to give it a day or two to have the app come to your TV once you connect it to the internet. The smart TV should also get HBO Max as well.

I actually think it is smart and other streamers should follow-suit. Now instead of folks signing up to cram in watching a hot series or two for free over the course of a weekend they can sign up for 1 month and have a bit more time to quickly binge a handful of shows/movies.
You would think that what with my being more cash poor (new job I landed this year pays less, but it provides job security so there is that going for it) I would say boo hiss to this news but I actually think it is long overdue that Netflix, D+, Hulu, CBS All Access, and other streamers make people commit for at least a month. Not to mention that unlike cable/internet service providers, or even food delivery subscriptions like Blue Apron which make you jump through hoops to cancel, it has been and sounds like it will continue to be very easy to simply cancel the service after your first month is up.
More revenue coming into a company's coffers means better odds that people can keep their jobs which is especially important at this moment in time.
ETA: I did go to the link and yeah...it made me chuckle as it was pretty obvious that Disney+ would see what looks like a massive new wave of subscribers only to have the number hit rock bottom a couple weeks after Hamilton's release. Folks will hate them for getting ahead of this scenario but hey, it is only $7 if someone wants to only subscribe to see Hamilton, still cheaper than many matinee ticket prices for top end theaters in place like CA.

Yeah, I don’t have a problem with making people commit for a month, especially when it’s single digits. I think the free trials made more sense when streaming services were new and they were trying to draw people in. Not saying that everyone is receptive to streaming now, but it’s a lot more established.

Re: Disney+ streaming service
Is there a max number of tvs the same movie can be played on, perhaps at same time?

Disney Plus allows for up to four separate devices to stream movies and TV shows simultaneously. There are no household or internet network restrictions, which means four devices can stream while under the same roof or spread across the country.
Thought you had figured out Google?

Why would he ever need to learn Google when people answer every inane question he has for him?

Ok, new inane question. If I set my mom up and she watches it there and I watch here, how can I separate her, like Netflix does, so if I watch it, it won’t affect where my mom left off bc I know she won’t watch in one sitting and thus she’ll be off if I were to start, then I’ll be off if Vice versa? Because I set my credentials into her Amazon box.

Mine doesn’t look like that. That looks like my Netflix, which I could separate with ease, but even in settings nowhere to add, create or change user...
