I panic-bought WW for 19.99 on Vudu five minutes before midnight Monday, and that went up to US34.99. Batman had less of an increase, to 28.99. Still not bad prices, but significantly worse than the weekend.

I did the same for Smallville which went from 49.99 to 79.99. Ah well. I kind of regret not going for Brave and the Bold but I can wait.

So the last time I posted a Fanflix link, I then went to use it myself, and it said it had already been used (not a big deal as I wasn’t that excited about the titles). I wonder if the link they send out via email is a one-use-only type of deal. Then again, I feel like I’ve used links posted here before and not noticed any weirdness (unless I got lucky and killed it for the next person ;)).

I redeemed it earlier today from my own email, and that same link still works for me.

I'm torn on Bye Bye Birdie. On one hand, it's a cute musical and Ann-Margret is to die for. On the other, it's the most anti-rock, anti-youth musical of all time. So, so square and full of disdain for modern music (despite the fact that the included "rock" song You Gotta Be Sincere is actually not half-bad). I've wrestled with this particular musical for decades now, but for $3.33 I might just give in and get it.

I can highly recommend Mr Smith Goes to Washington, Funny Girl and It Happened One Night. I recently watched The Black Knight from a Screen pass, and it was a fun, if simplistic and somewhat dated, swashbuckling adventure film (with one line I found hilarious: "I knew that but I was hungry!"). I don't remember much of the other movies from there that I've watched.

I've got most of them, but I'll probably pick up some or all of the ones I don't have). And I need to decide if it's worth upgrading the movies I have in SD (Mr Deeds, Cowboy, First Men in the Moon, The three stooges movies)

Edit: Actually, looking closer, looks like I'm missing a bunch of titles, and a lot of the ones I have are in SD. Probably because vudu only had them in SD at the time.

FandangoNow has rolled out a huge UHD sale with a ton of stuff. It includes many on the FanFlix lists, including Angel Has Fallen for $3.99 UHD. Of course, keep in mind it isn't an MA title. But there are a lot of MA titles on the sale as well.

Ugh, such good prices on those Sony Classics. I bought all the UHD titles even though I already have Navarone, Mr Smith, and Funny Girl in HDX. Navarone was an easy upgrade because I rewatch it every 2-3 years, but I decided to get the others as well. I then added His Girl Friday, Caine Mutiny, The Professionals, Born Yesterday, Two Rode Together, and To Sir with Love.

You’re not wrong about the squareness, but I think it’s a fun show turned into a pretty good movie, so I bought it in a recent $5 sale.

Lotsa good deals. I was tempted to upgrade my Harry Potters at $3.99 each, but once I signed in, the buy box went away, and I was invited to watch in HD. :( I’ll have to look at only the titles I don’t already own.
