Party of Five was never mastered in HD. It ended 25 years ago when Hi-Def TVs weren't prevalent yet. It's still in 4:3 Pan and scan even on the DVD set.

Probably not priority for Sony. Although Mill Creek did put out Dawson’s Creek on BD. Maybe Party of Five DVD sales weren’t great?

Well, I bought the BD complete series set this past Christmas for $35 (widescreen and HD) The digital is SD and $60

Streaming isn't always the way ;) :lol:

Of note: when I looked closely at the fanflix advert for party of five they even had a call out saying that the licensing might expire. No sale!

There's nothing worse in my opinion than watching VHS quality SD transfers on a HD or 4K television.

Yeah I saw that on a FanFlix deal a few days ago. They have always said something similar in the fine print that no one reads. If studios were to start revoking purchases it would be the end of that market.

One has to wonder who paid for the HD remasters and why they aren’t being used for digital, though. Probably just a matter of money, as usual.

I was watching a 1970s movie in SD on Vudu, and it didn’t look terrible. I think my TV upconverts well.

Blue Bloods kind of gets some flack for being an "Old peoples" show. But, it's a solid weekly police procedural that does it's job. I've never heard anyone say it's a crappy show. But, I know most police procedural aren't exciting watches to many people.

$39.99 for 14 seasons doesn't sound too bad. I admit I only watched 7 of the 14, but it was more due to a lack of time keeping up with it and knowing it was always on Paramount+
