As I typically buy the Blu rays of the hero shows which come with UV, I was hesitant to purchase Black Lightening (unseen yet).

But.... We have been watching the episodes of the CW hero shows as they come out and the quality sucks on the CW Roku app and streaming via browser.

So for $3.99 it's worth it to see it as it airs in great quality...

And on top of that, there is no guarantee there will be UV with Season Blu Ray sets, much less Blu-ray season sets..

$3.99 spent...

Yeah if you subscribe to a season pass on Amazon, the episode will be available the day after it airs.

I had the same reservations but... do we know that Black Lightening will get a release with UV? Riverdale never did. I assume that BL is in continuity with other CW DC titles it would get a similar UV release but not necessarily (?).

No guarantee future Blu will get a UV copy. Blindspot (another WB property) did not provide a UV copy with Season 2 like they did with S1.

The CW desperately wants Black Lightning to succeed for several reasons but it's still just a mid-season replacement. If ratings disappoint, it could be one and done.

And since it's MA compatible, you get the iTunes extras -- through iTunes -- including the black and white version, which is better in my opinion. I scored this during the Google Play sale they had during the holidays. Fantastic movie.

Looks like Black Lightning wasn't an error because it's still $3.99. I thought about getting it, but there are too many DC/CW shows I haven't gotten around to watching.

Black Lightning will be on Netflix by late April if they run all 13 episodes in a row.

If you don't have time to follow it week to week, just wait until then. No need to spend money on it.

Same here. Found it terribly unfunny and this is from a guy that likes comedies that get the worst reviews.

I want to get CB4, but it would only port to Vudu in SD (who the heck knows why). However, I wonder if when it ports to MA, would it be saved as HD or SD...because Amazon has it in HD. The only other HD option is a weird German Blu-Ray that offers the movie in a 4 pack. I'll probably bite the bullet anyway, it would be an interesting experiment.

Experience tells me it'll stay SD on Amazon.

That said, I've seen some movies that are part of Fandango's $5 deals show up for the same price at itunes or sometimes on Amazon, so it might be worth looking at those sites, if they have it in HD and it is on MA.
